BlodwynPig

mash up of I, Robot and Mad Max

St_Eddie

The poster for the new Rambo movie is astoundingly incompetent for a major studio release...

It looks as though somebody's photoshopped some flames on top of a freeze frame from a dodgy pirated copy of the movie.  Also, due to the discrepancy between the size of John Rambo and the trees/flames, he looks like he's a kaijū with tiny legs.

Crabwalk

Giving him withered legs is certainly a bold design choice.

holyzombiejesus

I quite like the idea behind it but the execution is awful. The size, colour, positioning and texture of the title/ logo is shit.

mothman

It's the way that even in blurred silhouette he looks old and fat.

That tag line doesn't make a lick of sense.

I'm not saying it's a great poster, but aren't the "trees" actually just ground brush?

Again, I'm not saying it's great, and it is clumsily worded, but surely it's just as simple as "our time".

Haha.  You're right, it doesn't!  It should be something along the lines of 'The most seductive evil of ancient times, has now been unleashed in ours'.

The issue is that the tagline says 'of all time', which by definition would include 'our time'.

They look more like trees to me.  Besides, in terms of scale, the flames appear to be too large for knee height.  Those are raging fires, several metres high.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on both points.

Again, we've always got Alien 3.

'alien 4' was better.

He's right on Dracula, wrong on Rambo

Panbaams

A Fish Called Wanda, starring John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline and Michael Palin – and introducing Wanda, the alien fish-woman:

I'd assumed this artwork was a DVD cover, but apparently not – this is the original US poster.

Blumf

Looks like some Dreamworks mistake.

Bazooka

Its just copying the Usual Suspects poster, but added radioactive mutations.

What's he doing with that trombone

mothman

He looks really fat in silhouette.

Mister Six

And they say black is slimming.

Famous Mortimer

He's 70 years old or whatever, dunno what you monsters expect.

mothman

73. But when he was 66, only 7 years ago, he looked like this:

EDIT: Mind you, i was aiming for that myself... and now I'm not. Depressed now.

OK, I know it's not a film poster, but what the shit is this?

"I've done a quick mock-up to give you the general idea. I know a great photoshop artist who can make it work."

"No, that's ok, we'll just use this and not pay anything."
