Well I have tried googling searches for a problem with my ACER Laptop, but I thought I try my hand at those Comedy forum Tech Wizrds instead.

Following a UKASh virus which I have now cleared, I worked sometime in Safe Mode. Midway through this period I have lost access to any Internet connection. Have a cable access which works fine on the wife's computer.

The Media for my Local Area Network Connection appears to be disconnected so I can not access any internet. Unable to run any ipconfig/release etc.... but elevation is required.

So with these glorious kernels of knowledge, what are my next steps to take.

So this is what you call a parody thread right?
In which case my research suggests: Use the boost to get through

I'm assuming you may have solved this problem but in the off-chance have a look at the network adapter in device manager. Could be disabled.

Also check the properties. Many Acer laptops sometimes disable your wireless to save power.
