I've no interest in archaeology whatsoever, but watching shows from the BBC's archive, I've not had as much of a laugh in ages.

This episode of the cult relic-guessing panel quiz show Animal, Vegetable, Mineral? (1958) has been the talking point of the week. The panelists, including the nefarious cheater Sir Mortimer "Shagger" Wheeler, are so inept it's no wonder we lost the empire. It reminded me of Scrutiniser from the Day Today.

This episode of Buried Treasure on Zimbhahbwe/Rhodesia is interesting as it is humorous.

I like to think Wheeler is the man behind the Fineprice adverts.
