Musically, it's not too bad, but those lyrics. Good God.

Hope they won.

When the song picks up it sounds like a terrible Dire Straits. The lyrics are amazing. No idea what he's on about. JUST GO HOME THEN MATE.

BIZNUTS.

Nope.

Reh Dogg why Must I Cry is quite frightening, I think the initial video of youtube has been removed probably by him, but its on Dailymotion.

Scary.

Also put a donk on it,an old Internet "classic" Katie hopkins would not be impressed.

Seen this tweeted quite a bit but I couldn't see it featured here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unRldLdllZ8
(I can't get the chorus out of my head)

One of my students served D4NNY in a shop a few weeks ago. She did not know what to say or do.

I'm just relieved he's still alive.

One thing I will say though, I've felt more warmly towards Nicki Minaj since Lawrence of Felt / Go-Kart Mozart was going on about how great he thinks she is, but he kept calling her Nicki Minja.

She gets the benefit of the doubt from me because of her amazing verse on Monster by Kanye West. On the other hand it makes it worse that someone capable of that could make such rubbish as a lot of her solo work

It's not as if she will be remembered for her amazing lyricism (despite some catchy one liners) but Missy Elliott in her hey day trounces Minaj, who it appears she is directly influenced by. She just doesn't haven't the presence/personality to carry off that shtick. She's bloody terrible.

That is a fab verse. I've always had a soft spot for her for that very duality of the cutesy be-wigged girl with some quite raw lyrics, but shit like Beez In The Trap put me right off her instantly. Super Bass is great though, lots of nice humour in that up until she suddenly has to do the I'M NICKI MINAJ BY THE WAY AND HERE'S THE POP CHORUS. Really feels out of place.

The first properly "spat" verse of Put a Donk on It is better than anything Kanye West has ever done, and I mean that most sincerely folks.

Have you heard Monster? Her verse is playful, funny, scary and more besides, all in the space of about a minute. Awesome stuff.

Sivablood is an artist of some kind and started uploading tracks to his website over a decade ago. It seems he now records New Agey mood music, but fortunately some of his early attempts at composition are preserved on youtube. And they are quite something. My favourite has to be "Alice".

I just listened to this and it's really really not for me, sorry.

On my musical travels today, I've discovered Brooke Candy, whose entire act seems to be dressing like a space-aged prostitute and saying "pussy" a lot. Naturally, the first thing I did was find somewhere quiet to whack one out, the soundtrack to which, provided by Ms Candy, combined the very worst of 'hip hop' (if you can call it that), dubstep and this 'electronic dance music' America has just discovered about twenty years after everyone else (what's that about?). The worst part is that she seems to be attracting a following with a series of musical abortions that carefully manufacture her as somebody who Doesn't Give A Fuck. Critics are 'haters' who fuel the notion that this girl is somehow on the outside of the music industry.

This is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHULK1M-P08

I suppose now that Peaches in not far off turning 50(!) and has her stuff used on the telly, there's a gap in the market for sexually graphic brag-rapping with plonky electronic backing. Wish they'd found someone better than her though.

But here's my question - why is it that all white women who have those weird multicolour extensions look like her (or she, them)? Because they all look the same - a slightly eastern european/witchy look to them.

I did a GIS for colour string hair extensions. first person with them that came up:

Very pretty, obviously, but also very witchy!

Piercing, exhausting, repetitive chorus melody with horrible "profound piano" behind it and a nagging, hollow agenda to "big things up". No complaints about the actual Jay Z parts though.

Good call, I fucking despise both versions of that song. The black equivalent of Don't stop believing.

Nowhere Man

Has anyone else heard this song by Brian Wilson aka the man who wrote Good Vibrations, the Pet Sounds Album, Surfs Up etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ_O9OjGfyw

This is either the worst or best song of all time.

"Speed Turtle" is either a superhero or band waiting to happen.

Nowhere Man

Actually believe it or not as bad as that song is I got it confused with another song. This is the real song I meant, titled Smart Girls.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sz0SnpN_O00

Just read the lyrics to the first verse.

"Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee
My name is brian and I'm the man
I write hit songs with a wave of my hand
Songs of surf and sun and sand
I make great music with my band
Songs you dance to and songs of joy
I'm the original beach boy"

God I love that (discovered it the other month, might've been via here) - it's so embarrassing "I love hips, and legs, and breasts"  "sexy legs with hi IQ's"  "wouldn't it be nice if phds were stroking me with hypotheses" awkwardly jammed in Beach Boys samples & it's Brian Wilson rapping, well kind of (possibly/probably while drugged up & forced/massively talking into it being a great idea by Eugene Landy ...)

"Big brains are awesome" everybody.
(Big Brians like I nearly posted are not)

Smart Girls must be the most mentally retarded song in the history of the world, complete with samples that sound like trapped spirits trying to force their way out. Whereas The Private Life Of Bill And Sue basically sounds like the result of the lobotomy.
