Yes, just come back from seeing Ruben Blades and The Spanish Harlem Orchestra at the RFH.

Fantastic gig if you're into salsa. I know it has a reputation for sounding like lift music, but that's generally because of shite commercial rip-offs of a vaguely latin nature.

I love salsa...It's very fiery stuff and all of the different rhythmic part fit together to make a very satisfying whole. In fact, it's really weird to think that the only person playing on the beat is often a lone bloke on cowbell. The harmonies are georgeous too.

Anyway, that's it...Why not check out a bit of salsa, perhaps at www.salsastream.com which has some streaming radio.
