Haha that was brilliant from Nish. Djokovic has dropped his level but his opponent has played superbly this set.

selectivememory

Well done Kei. Fantastic player when he gets going, I do hope he wins some slams in the next year or two.

Well, this already counts as the best match so far this week just by virtue of it going to a third set.

rjd2

Turned it off after Novak broke him in the first game of the second set to watch the egg chasing, shame.

Kei is awesome, how can anybody not to love him?

biggytitbo

Is Djokovic sulking?

selectivememory

We've definitely seen both sides of Djokovic in this match. Was looking invincible in the first set, now looks very vulnerable.

selectivememory

Although it looks like he's going to close it out all the same.

rjd2

Crikey I know Murray gets criticism due to his second serve, but compared to Kei second serve its Karlovic esque.

Kei needs to sort that, probably should have broke in the first game of the third set today also, can't afford to piss away chances when you have Novak on the ropes.

selectivememory

Very disappointing final set. Still, at least Nishikori showed up for a set and made it interesting.

biggytitbo

Djokovic hasnt actually had to do very much to get a 6-0 either, which is disappointing. If he has a blip like he did in the 2nd against Federer it might be different story.

biggytitbo

Talking about Djokovic's inconsistency, this is a vastly inferior Federer to his flawless performance against (an admittedly incredibly poor) Murray. Wawrinka is bossing him at the moment.

selectivememory

Come on Stan... Think if he can raise his game against Djokovic (should he make the final) it could be a good match - but he needs to bring his best form otherwise it'll be another pasting. He's got to remember that in the last two years he's given Djokovic huge problems on several occasions.

biggytitbo

Ohh look Roger Federer is actually sacrificing a new born baby to satan on the court! Cue orgasmic applause from the crowd.

Wawrinka winning here would be the best thing to happen to tennis for ages. A likable, modest man beating the biggest ego in the universe would be an absolute delight.

selectivememory

Come on Stan, put this git away.

biggytitbo

Fuck sake Stan you almost had the cunt their. Way to feed the Fed jizz factory.

selectivememory

Ugh. Stan's blown it.

selectivememory

Fuck it. Oh well, finally a good match, and hopefully one tomorrow.

biggytitbo

Cunt. And sycophantic crowds = cunts.

Hopefully Djokovic pastes this turd tomorrow. Very poor from Federer for the most, Wawrinka should have won easily but his mental fragility came into play yet again.

Deanjam

Fed withdraws from the final with injury. Novak wins the tournament by walkover.

Murray playing Djokovic in an exhibition.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

So, what a shit tour finals eh?

biggytitbo

What a lamentable ending! Cool that we get to see andy Murray hammered again though. Or will he suddenly starting playing well now there's no pressure?

biggytitbo

Some people are actually speculating Federer pus sies out because he thought he might get beat, or to be fresh for the Davis Cup. Incredibly unlikely Federer would ever do that isn't it?

selectivememory

Oh, that's disappointing. Shame Stan didn't win yesterday.

Yeah utterly ridiculous idea. Anyway, he could have done that yesterday when Stan had a match point.

He has beat Novak a few times this year hasn't he?

Also despite how consistent he has been, how great of a season has he had? Del Potro dead, Rafa a ghost, Murray shite, and all he has won is 2 1000 Masters titles. No Slams either. He would have seriously wanted this tonight.

Yeah. You could tell last night when he beat Wawrinka that something was wrong too.

Makes a mockery of the ranking system that he almost pipped Djokovic to number 1, despite Djokovic winning a stack more titles, a slam and the final of another slam.

Not really sure whether this is a good idea from Murray to do this? Couldn't it actually compound his humiliation?

Deanjam

Fed's withdrawn from 3 matches in his entire career - including today - and never retired mid match. And rjd2 is right, Fed leads the head-to-head this year, and overall. It's a shame, but these things happen.

Good of Murray to come out and play the expo.

Del Potro dead

The game is weaker for not having him up and running and up in the top ten. Out of the top hundred now, let's hope he'll be able to get himself back up there next year.

Although I think the US Open is the only one that he had an opportunity to win, but he underperformed and got blown away by Cilic. Rafa was fantastic in their Aussie semifinal, and Novak would've thumped him in the French semifinal if he'd made it that far - and of course, the Wimbledon final only went on as long as it did because Novak lost his head for a set and a half. I think he's had a fantastic year given his age - but for some reason I thought he'd won more Masters than that. However, given where he was last year, he's been superb.

biggytitbo

Murray's won a game!
