How to Play

  • Go to https://the.wubmachine.com/
  • Upload an mp3 file of a song of your choice
  • Select how you want it to be remixed (doesn't really matter how - see what sounds best)
  • Download the result
  • Edit the file name to "mystery wubbed song" or anything that doesn't reveal the original track
  • Post a sendspace/dropbox/whatever link to it in this thread
  • See if anyone can correctly guess what the original song is - whoever is right first gets to go next

Here's a recognisable one to start off with.

This one's piss easy: https://copy.com/vylTyV6yMFVU

This one, hopefully, a bit more challenging: https://copy.com/EZ91qo78bDbp

[edit] sorry, didn't read the rules... No idea what yours is, probably one of the many really well known songs that I've never heard. Oh well, might as well leave these here now anyway.

Petey's is Walk This Way - Aerosmith I think.

No idea what ollie's two are though.

Here's one for now.

and another

They're both piss easy but also strangely listenable.

olliebean

Gah, Petey's seems obvious now that you've said what it is!

I'll retrospectively validate my submissions by identifying Chocky's - See Emily Play by Pink Floyd, and This is Hardcore by Pulp.

chocky909

Both right matey. All back to yours.

Subtle Mocking

Ollie's first is Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice. No idea about the second.

olliebean

Weapon of Choice is right. Not surprised the second is stumping people; I'm having trouble recognising it myself, and I know what it is.

It's not No Way No Way is it?

olliebean

No, better known than that, although come to think of it this is the original rather than the best known version of it.

chocky909

Is it Touch and Go - Would You...?

olliebean

No. You're thinking along the wrong lines. Clue: it isn't a pop song.
