The Blue Note stalwart and Jazz Messengers co-founder Horace Silver has sadly died. Whether it be his classic 50s and 60s recordings, his ropey United State of Mind trilogy, or Rikki Don't Lose That Number, his individual style lives on through those great records.

RIP Horace Silver.
