I've always been a big fan of Ian O'Brien

Velocity Boy - Sons Of The Desert (Ian O'Brien Remix)

He also has done some hauntingly beautiful electronic stuff

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG0MdH46Vqc

speaking of which, Detroit Escalator Co.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2V6XDFqm5A

Unoriginal

All I want is to be able to control the music played in a club for one evening.

Emptyset - Beyond

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKwuyHtQM00

Akkord - Back & Forth

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DN0dPylBng

I'd consider these the kind of techno tracks I could put on the background without it overly bothering friends.

Robert Hood - Range

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InOYe0jyOQo

This, on the other hand, would annoy most of them I'm sure. The best minimal track I think Hood has ever produced.

Rrose - The Stare

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AKRX88lDbk

Missed a few chances to see Rrose in the UK. It's this kind of sound that got me so entranced with techno in the first place. I don't know about others but I find this to be music you can move to.

Anthony Parasole - Point God

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsQmW_g4t2A

If you've been in club and taken too much Ketamine or LSD, it's essentially this sound that you hear on loop.

stranger

Extraordinary set from Surgeon here.

It is a Boiler Room set so the crowd are right in your face which is a little off putting, but if you can deal with that it's an amazing 55 minutes of music. I won't even pretend to understand what he's doing with that big box of wires (a modular synth?) but he gets a hell of a noise out of it. The whole thing's great but for me it really picks up from around 19m 30 onwards

The Dam-Funk DJ Kicks compilation features this old skool j(g)em from Gemini

From one of my favourite albums of all-time, had this blasting out this morning

Plastikman - Ethnik

Insync vs. Mysteron

Inhale (seems slowed down compared to the version on Teknoville 4)

Lovely bouncy old skool tekno.

Enjoyed that immensely, even through an YouTube and a pair of fucked headphones. So out of touch with this stuff it would be embarrassing if every other aspect of my life weren't so utterly humiliating to begin with.

The fact that the screenshot looked liked the dude had poked his micropenis into the vinyl as a secondary stylus only added to the fun.

Viero_Berlotti

Went to the Herbal Tea Party 23rd Anniversary in Manchester at the weekend and raved like a sad 40 year old dad raver.

Saw Higher Intelligence Agency:

and Empirion live:

https://youtu.be/F2LdPO75og0

The highlight for me however was the 4 way analogue acid set of Psyche Out/Ph1/Legolab/Desert Storm all playing together. They had 3 303's on the go at one point, mayhem. Will try and post a video or link to a live recording of it if any surface.

Funcrusher

In case anyone wasn't aware and needed to know, there's a new Convextion album in 2016 featuring more of his lovely melodic Detroitish sounds, and it's all up on You Tube

Robert Hood - Minimal Nation has been a-blastin' here lately.

What happened to Empirion? They were pretty good, pretty big, signed to a major and supporting The Prodigy (albeit because Jamie Smart from Empirion is one of his mates). They just....disappeared.

More house than techno I guess, but I've just discovered this gem

Mr Beatnik - Synthetes

and it's partner

Ron Trent - Altered States
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMHBc6QWEh8

Altered States is up there with It Is What It Is as probably my all-time favourite techno tracks.

KillJester

I suppose, strictly speaking, its more Bleeps and Bass, but can't go without giving this classic a mention:

LFO - LFO (Leeds Warehouse Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpZVPSCv79U

Funcrusher

jobotic

That Carl Craig remix is great, this is the one I'll always like best though

Sweet sweet Belgian techno from 1990.

Lhasa - The Attic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdu3lCMHW7A

I think Fudge Fingas might be from Scotland, I don't know. Anyway this is the cleverest use of a Marvin Gaye sample I've ever heard.

I've put the main version of this up before

Ian Pooley - Celtic Cross (Motor City Dub)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cULTk-yf7KM

a classic

Teste - The Wipe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWdDggFDW7s

This could go in the "Music which reduced you to tears" thread

DJ Seinfeld - U

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6eu1Wb8CVE

House music fans couldn't believe their ears when they got to 2.58 mins.

I would love to see footage of clubs that dropped that on unsuspecting punters.

Fucking hell.........Bob Geldof has actually appeared/performed on a decent record.

Lovely stuff.
