Never understood the sentiment.  I could, maybe, at a push, like to get to know someone gradually and then with the proviso that I can back away should they prove to be a nob.  But I could never imagine coming right out and saying I'd like to get know someone well. But he was a bit of an oddball, wasn't he?  I could imagine him in a flotation tank recording the sounds of his bubbling farts on a dictaphone while he travelled the astral plains, like a low-rent Peter Gabriel.

I do write some shit on here when I've had a drink.
