Anyone got any idea of how it might be possible to create a menu for MP3 discs that are intended to be played in DVD players? Cheers.

fanny splendid

What make of DVD is it? Do you know if it supports .m3u playlists?

TJ

Nah, just one that will play MP3 files as they are. It gives a rudimentary 'menu' of the disc's contents, so surely it must be possible to do a proper one?

there's a free authoring app from tmpgenc which allows to create menus (although how comprehensive it is for MP3s is another matter)

failing that, Ulead offer decent DVD authoring for around 30 squid.  say MovieFactory 3.  There's a box in Smiths if you want to read. PC pro review

"An upgrade to the Disc Creator version provides additional features including... the ability to create MP3 CDs."

i didn't realise you could create menus for MP3 CDs.

if you want to make them into "proper" DVDs, that will involve re-encoding your MP3s to either AC3, MP2 or PCM (WAV, basically) audio.
