What were you thinking posting that filth!? You're lucky Neil's on holiday.

Disgusting.

Last night I was playing Balderdash with some friends and we got the word "clinchpoop". Fucked us up for a good ten minutes.

"Clinchpoop".

I was playing that once (it's pretty much the greatest board game invented) and we got the word "mopuss", to which my mate declared, "mo'puss, mo'problems"... I still haven't quite recovered from how funny that was after a couple of bottles of red.

One that never fails to utterly demolish me: the SCARY SHEEP

You know when something is just perfect in every way but it's inexplicable when you try to tell people about it... this is that. The shite quality of the video and the dude filming it whilst stifling the chuckles somehow cranks this up from "aye pretty funny" to "for fucks sake man what is happening to my body". Every time I revisit this, that stupid fucking "BAA!" absolutely does me in.

This video involving a crow and two cats has a similar effect where I laugh so hard for so long that I get the feeling my internal organs are shutting down and I'll never be able to stand upright again:

Crow starts cat fight and watches

The bit where the cats drop off the roof like a fucking Warner Bros cartoon, man, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a video as the first time I ever saw that. Actual comedy shows and films very rarely have the same effect on me. That shit's all made up, but this is real. That REALLY HAPPENED. Hard props to the cameraman here for somehow keeping it together for the duration.

I'm starting to think I have a problem.

I think it started when I once watched Wipeout.  I enjoyed laughing at silly people doing silly things and hurting themselves in the process.

You may also know me as the person who posted about The Almost Impossible Gameshow, although admittedly I haven't caught up on that show recently to know the latest plot dénouements.  I know it's a corker of a thread though, it's nearly up to the magic 10 replies.

With all of that in mind, I have to say that genuinely the last thing I pissed myself laughing at was this fat twat repeatedly falling over in a ball pool:

The internet doesn't remember it but once there was an FA staff charity match shown on a Murdochian sporting TV channel, commentated on by 2 increasingly giggly Yorkies or Lancastrians, who almost caused my lungs to collapse when attempting to describe the rather dour FA chief exec Graham Kelly's rather tame aerial challenge for a ball as 'salmon-like'. That was 20 years ago approx. and certainly the last time I streamed salt from my eyes. Graham collapsing with laughter at his own lack of athletic prowess sealed it!

Utter Shit

Please tell me someone has heard the most recent episode of Elis James and John Robins' XFM podcast? They had one of the funniest callers I've ever heard - I dunno whether it was planned to get him on the show or they just went with it, but he called in to complain about his troubles getting eggs home without smashing and it was incredible - I'll upload it tonight so you can all here it but it was fab.

Utter Shit

Tears streaming down the face. That thing where you try to laugh but nothing comes out. First-rate comedy onanism.

About 2 minutes into this, Stanhope tries shoe-horning a bit of stand-up material about ADHD and medicating kids into the conversation, then Jim Norton jumps in and improvises some of the most stupid juvenile humour you've ever heard, but by Christ is it funny.

This You Tube clip of the great scene in the Sopranos where Patsy Parisi warns Gloria to stay away from Tony (wonderful goodbye line: "It won't be cinematic") inspired a discussion thread that left me weak.  Scroll down to where a pervert named Jeff From Jersey muses on how sexy Gloria is when she's scared and marvel at what follows, especially the contributions of thenewwoodsman.

This iTunes review of Jeff Lynne's new ELO album. I don't know why but it just made me chuckle. It reads like a creepy answerphone message to Lynne left at two in the morning.

The Best Jeff Lynne ELO Album Ever *****

I'm a life long ELO fan. Jeff When The Night Comes In fits me as if it was directly written for me. ELO I play weekly, these tracks daily. The best Jeff Lynne ELO album ever. Please, please tour. preferably South South west England or even a small venue. I'm desperate to see you live. I know you've had trouble before but this album is going to be mega. My sister got off with your son at a party in the '80s. I wish she had stayed with him just a little while so that I could see you tour in a VIP area.

Here's another album review from this individual. Take Me Everywhere by Brian Smith Really likes the personal touch.

Brilliant Brian
*****

I thoroughly recommend this album a bargain at £7.99. A great soundscape, very innovative. To think we lived three doors away and skateboarded with your brothers constantly. The track for your Dad is very moving.

Well, that's me sold.

An anecdote in Stephen King's new book. He's at the supermarket when a woman on a mobility scooter rides up to him, says that she recognises him, but that she doesn't like his obsession with mean, scary stories. "I prefer uplifting stuff, like The Shawshank Redemption."

"I wrote that, too," King tells her.

"No you didn't," she says, and drives off.

Paul F Tompkins and Tom Scharpling ripping the piss out of an advert for one of the Insane Clown Posse's 'Gathering Of The Juggalos' festivals, at length.

I remember hearing this on a CaB Radio show years ago, hosted by Kishi The Bad Lampshade if memory serves, and loving it then. Having since become a big Paul F Tompkins fan through Comedy Bang Bang I've just rediscovered it through doing a YouTube search of his stuff. It's so infectious. By the halfway mark they're both almost delirious with laughter.

That is fucking hilarious!

I have absolutely no idea of what the original sounds like, so that make that version the original now.

The pay-off for me is that we don't actually see the biscuits and the packaging is hard to discern.
