Mike comes across as a proper gent in that vid.  rip

Apparently Reggie Kray had warned him the Gotcha was going down from prison so Reid was on his best behaviour.

Only one of these extracts from Reid's autobiography Bad Slags T'rific is made up:

I was enjoying a quiet drink one Saturday when the pub suddenly filled up with Taffies down to support their team at an Arsenal match. A ruck erupted and before I could get out, one of these Welsh blokes called me a Cockney prick. Crack, I've put him on his back.

I was in a pub in Finsbury Park one night, having a quick drink before I went home. Reg and Ronnie were sat in the corner. Reg raised his hand while Ronnie just stared. Christ, that look of his went right through you. Suddenly, half a dozen geezers burst in and went straight for the twins. Bosh, the table's gone over as they got stuck into the boys. The odds were a bit uneven so I waded in and started throwing a few rights.

I was presenting Runaround when one of the 10-year-old pilchards who'd got a wrong answer sneakily picked up a yellow ball instead of a red one. Unfortunately for him Mad Frankie was watching in the wings. Ten minutes later, Wallop, the little cowson's only got one working kneecap now. Fast forward 12 years, I'm having a takeaway ruby on the set of the Queen Vic and this young geezer limps up and thanks me for teaching him a lesson. 24-carat moments like that tell you why I'm in this business.

If I'd paid 75 quid to have Nigel Farage spout a load of rubbish for my amusement I'd be pretty steamed if I got that one with the phone vibrating half way through! I assume he's just knocking them out at a rate of knots and not even checking them

"Am I a bad person?" is a question I should think everyone ponders about him or herself from time to time.  Well, I know now that I am definitely a bad person, cos this made me laugh like fuck.

It's the way it's still all calm and swan-like, like it's just accepting it.  It's like when Oliver Hardy would look into the camera and sigh.

File under "Mildy Funny Tbh", but there's something about Jools Holland asking Olivia Harrison to open a section of his model railway which gave me a laff

Norm is a perennial for this thread of course, but this compilation is especially good, especially the story starting about 2.30 in.

Didn't actually cry with laughter, but this is so silly it made me chuckle:

'He had a big promotion coming up.' That's one of Norm's funniest ever.

'But the good news is... it's just a cat.'

It's the giggle instead of tears that makes it great, as if the kid already understands the joy of physical comedy.

There's another version of that somewhere where he goes, "I didn't even know they had hearts!" which is a killer line.

I never cry with laughter but machotrouts vs Dr Trouser in wimblewrong did something to me that I haven't felt in a while

When a Costumed Person Destroys The Drums At Children's Music Concert - NyangoStar.

Not quite tears, but absolutely hilariously fantastic nonetheless.

I'm fairly sure the backstory of that character is that he's a dead cat who possessed an apple. I've always found that quite funny in itself.

I like the phrase Costumed Person

Suggests a historic slur aimed at people in big outfits that we can't say any more

In our day, wed call them what they were

No dad....

We called em SUIT***GS!

DAD!?
