@RobGibbons_ has tweeted "New Mid Morning Matters looking like it'll be on Sky Atlantic in November. Featuring T. Key, J. Barratt and R. Shearsmith."

I hope there'll be a DVD out in time for Christmas.

That's first class. That is superb. Ooh, there you go, it's all happening!

Puce Moment

Wonderful news.

'Aha!' as Alan Patridge might say lol.

I just think my boss is very understanding.

Yes, finally! Then next year is the second book, and presumably the travel documentary series, with the second film in 2017?

Can't wait. All the new stuff has been fantastic.

Any excuse (2:17 approx.):

"The nettles were particularly virulent..."

I can't quite believe I've never seen these deleted scenes. You're quite the corpsing king Glebe - after all you introduced me to the SNL Debbie Downer corpses.

There's a lot of stuff I've been introduced to by other CaB folk meself. What would we all do without CaB, eh?

QuoteWe're proud to announce that Norfolk icon Alan Partridge is returning to Sky Atlantic HD, with two new projects due next year.

As well as a brand new six-part series of Mid Morning Matters, Alan will also be bringing Sky customers a hard-hitting one-hour documentary special.

Alan Partridge told us: "I am both thrilled, humbled, gladdened and excited to be bringing Mid Morning Matters back to Sky Atlantic. I expect those who doubted its success feel suitably chastened to never again doubt the wisdom of my career choices and to say nothing in response unless their comments are wholly supportive and positive. I hope I've made myself clear...thank you, let's leave it there."

Mid Morning Matters 2 coming Monday 8th February.

Someone in the replies posted this image, questioning the contradiction in dates:

It's been shunted around. Was meant to be November at one point I think.

We were only five days out from new Partridge! Bloody hell.

Slight delay from the date quoted previously but the new series finally airs on 16 February...

Fucking hell, completely forgot about this.

Can't wait/it's about bloody time.

Excellent news, alas I don't do Sky. If the DVD is out before the year is up that's next Christmas sorted already.

That's a fabulous pose.

I suppose Fosters have nowt to do with this so it's not going to popping up on YouTube every week. Bah.

Same day as the new Animal Collective album. Looking forward to watching this and listening to that, at the same time, but not the other way around THAT WOULD BE HIDEOUS HAHA

Aye, just Sky this time. I wonder if that means it's been written and filmed for thirty-minute blocks, rather than being three ten-minute episodes slotted together.

Second film??

Fucking hell. Yes!

Pose reminds me of Morrissey - Swords for some reason. Morrissey should have got Boz Boorer to lurk in the background looking glum.

Coogan confirmed in an interview late last year that MMM had been recorded in early 2015 but Sky had been sitting on it - this series is that. However, there are plans to record two more specials very soon, one of which will involve Alan setting the world to rights, apparently. Plus another book, and another film is not unlikely either.

Entropy Balsmalch

Does anyone think there actually will be another film?

Having heard so many stories now of how unhappy the production was I wonder, given the modest box office, whether there's much of an impetus to make another.

Crabwalk

With Iannucci properly involved (as has been mooted) it would be a much smoother production, I think.

Ja'moke

Radio Times article about the new series, with a few minor spoilers and quotes: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-01-13/mid-morning-matters-series-two-is-vintage-alan-partridge-of-the-highest-order

This particular quote made me do a big silly laugh:
Spoiler alert
There's a different MD at the radio station, Craig. He's "like a one man Soda Stream" he's "fizzing with ideas." As Alan puts it, he's: "20% Steve Jobs, 10% Jesus, 50% Peter Sissons, a splash of Gandhi (no need to measure that). If you were a quarter of the man he is, you'd be twice the man you are. And that still makes you an eighth of a very impressive man. And that's not my opinion, that's fractions."

Danger Man

Bloke in the pub told me that Coogan is going to do a comedy-detective show called 'Schism' later this year.

Pub talk or inside scoop?

Pub talk.

Utter Shit

The most recent 'confirmed' date for this was Monday 8th February, but the TV listings don't have it on Sky 1 or Sky Atlantic. Fucking come ONNNNNNNNNN

EDIT: Now listed as Tuesday 16th February?

Confirmed for the 16th on the poster about 10 posts above
