is when you love a new song you've heard but you can't actually remember how it goes at all. So then when you listen to it it's great cos you know you're in for a treat innit lad.

Yeah that's ace.

I also really like the opposite thing, where you hear a song you've known for 20 years but never really paid attention to, like some old hit from you only know from adverts or something, and realise you actually love it loads.

I like that stage you get to with a new song where you know it well enough to sing it to yourself (in your head, not out loud of course) but not so well that it's not exciting any more. That sort of ideal point of familiarity but still with novelty. That bit. I like that.
