Best British songwriting partnerships

Morrissey and Marr Vs. Lennon and McCartney

After a recent debate in the pub, I have decided to start this thread, lets see what opinion is on this one

DonkeyRhubarb

Ok forget the Best British songwriting part, or all we will get is "what no Kieth Harris and Orville the Duck" replys.

Lets just have it out between Morrissey and Marr Vs. Lennon and McCartney and forget the Best British songwriting part.

Fuckwittio

How about Strummer & Jones sneak up on them when they're rumbling and kick the living fuck out of both teams?

I reckon if you kicked Morrissey in the balls all you'd hit was an empty sack of unused elbow skin.

My personal preference is Morrissey and Marr. 4 years, 70+ songs, and the only shit ones were covers.

Well of course, strictly speaking Lennon and McCartney didn't write their material together, apart of course from Bridge Over The Troubled River Kwai...
