I have Motherbanger placed in a Pixies playlist. It's so beautifully accurate

When the flexi-disc came out I tried to fool a friend by putting that song on a compilation tape as a legit Pixies track. The ruse failed unfortunately, but I still reckon it could fool quite a lot of people.

I also love the bit in The Day Today where Chris is flirting with Valerie Sinatra, looking all smirky, then his smile instantly drops when he turns back to the camera. It's little things like that that make the character more dubious and slightly intimidating, in a really funny way

Everything about the opening minute of 'Crime' is absolutely perfect. Every single millisecond of it.
