the Pepper Ann bit is one of my favourites

The bit in Melfi's office is so good.

"I finally met someone who's good for me"

The Bumlord

Look at a young Nick's beautiful bountiful hair and weep:

Most recent episode opens with Adam shitting himself while wearing white trousers. 10/10.

God damn, Stavros really did warn me going in that this was the funniest thing that's ever happened on the show, but I didn't believe him.

'Vindicated about you wearing diapers...'

Jerzy Bondov

My friend keeps sharing links to these history podcasts but I don't care I just want to hear Stav cackling at Adam shitting through his trousers

MrsWarboysLover

I love this podcast. When it's funny, it's one of the funniest things ever.
Even the ones where there's a lull or Nick is following his usual joke formula there's nothing I'd rather listen to, I think at this point I'm just really fond of the boys.

Felt like a real season finale!

spaghetamine

last episode was a banger, Nick trying to suck a chinese dragon's dick was a particular highlight (as well as Adam's accident, of course)

Dr Rock

Adam - 'I haven't shit my pants for three years' like that was a long time.

Theremin

Bumping to recommend the 500th episode spectacular.

The sound board returns to great effect

amputeeporn

Stav describing the Ricky Gervais being crucified on the mic stand for atheism as like a 'head shot with caution tape on steroids' got a cackle.

Hank Venture

I wish someone would compromise me to a permanent end.

'To infinity...'

That bit caused me to laugh out loud whilst driving, which doesn't happen very often. Not because the joke itself is so brilliant, of course, but the sheer repetition of it. I don't rate the Cum Boys as highly as some, but they do perfectly replicate that feeling of being young and fucking around with some close friends (as I'm sure they'd be the first to make a gay sex joke about).

Stonefish

Good recent episode where Stav gets angry at Adam for not buying him a sandwich.

No joke, the best episode of Cum Town ever - shown up - from the bonus feed. The stupidest, funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

Edit To Add: it's a glorious moment, 20 minutes into the riff where Nick says, 'let's switch gears here,' but sticks with the bit.

MrsWarboysLover

I do wonder if they're intentionally tanking the show now. The last episode was a good example of that.

I think Stav actually believes it when he complains about having to do the show too. It's weird that he doesn't understand how good he has it.

Great shout. I subscribe to this but often don't get around to it so thanks for the heads up. The penis film titles riff had me creasing. "Norbert, but it's penis."

He does understand it though, doesn't he? He's just a massive depressive who can't be arsed. Like, a lot of the time it does very much seem like he's just waiting for an excuse to totally and irreversibly fall off the rails, the shit with the tooth and leg injury a couple of years ago nearly done it but the show taking off massively offset it.

I'm about 3 months behind, which seems to be the routine for me with Cum Town; don't listen for 3 months, listen to all 3 months in a couple of days, don't listen again.

MrsWarboysLover

The part that I don't get is that he literally doesn't have to put any effort in, or inconvenience himself in any way to do it - talking to Nick and Adam is something he's going to do anyway, and no one who listens to cumtown has high expectations for Stav to be funny, he doesn't even have to be 'on' he can phone it in as much as he wants and it makes no difference.
As a result he can live a life of being paid great money to do nothing and he still complains.
I used to think about Stav as a happy-go-lucky guy but I think you're right - I guess it's obvious he has issues, but I suppose I fell for the bravado initially.

Dr Rock

I think Stav is often funny. And his laughing is integral to my enjoyment anyway.

peanutbutter

I like Stav loads and his laughter is pretty vital, to be clear; was just saying there's def enough there to see it's a bit deeper than him being in some way oblivious to how fortunate he is. And despite his complaining at times I'd say he's infinitely less likely to let his own mood tank a show than Nick, of the three he's def the one who is most on while recording I'm sure.

Dr Rock

He's probably the one I like the most. And I think his new look really suits him.

MrsWarboysLover

I agree, he is vital to the show - although I do think his main function is basically to be a laugh track. That's all I meant by he doesn't have to be 'on', all he pretty much has to do is sit there and laugh at Nick and he's fulfilling his role, so it doesn't seem like strenuous work to me.

I'll give him his due, he is pretty good at developing riffs with Nick too, to be fair to him.

His new look does suit him in a weird way too, I agree.

Ornlu

I am diabetrically opposed to these opinions.

amputeeporn

It's been too long.

So they've rolled right back into the 'rent a cabin and record 17 episodes a day' mode for thanksgiving, which at least seems to have given them some foreign territory pep in the short term (and promises more Ian Fidance in the imminent future). First ep away from home is Cabin Ladin, a bonus I think, and with an engaged Nick Mullen in character as Christopher Walken for roughly half of that, you know you're in for a treat.

spaghetamine

I attempted a recent episode and it was more or less completely unlistenable. Nick chewing gum into the mic for the entirety of the episode (AGGHH!) while sounding depressed and listless, Stav sounding fat and Adam contributing nothing as per usual. Something I've noticed is that Nick genuinely cannot seem to fathom the possibility that people care about things for reasons other than virtue signalling. At one point he admitted he no longer has any interest in free healthcare or increasing the living wage as he is now rich enough that these issues no longer effect him and it would be "disingenuous" for him to do so. Not that I'm looking for enlightened political takes from the hosts of a cum podcast but it made me a little sad.

peanutbutter

They're doing the whole bulk episode thing again this year aren't they? Basically November through to January is gonna be a writeoff. I know some people enjoyed those episodes last year but I cannot fathom actually paying for those episodes.

Not sure any of that is especially off from where Mullen has always been on those topics? He does seem like he's probably due some kind of massive breakdown some time soon though.
