Metroid 2 REMAKE of Samus

So some guy spent like the last 8 years or so remaking the Gameboy classic Metroid 2 Return of Samus. The result is amazing. It's practically a brand new 5-hour or so 2D Metroid game with additional mini-bosses, newly hidden items, a map, fully upgraded graphics (to something that looks at the level of Super Metroid or better) additional mechanics from later games or simply entirely new ones and of course the whole thing's free.

Check it.

Cool that its in the style of Zero Hour, which is a brilliant game.

Wow, looks like he's done a cracking job on this. Worth the long wait.

My only complaint so far is the menus are a bit fiddly to navigate.

I have to say, for a Metroid game, it's a bummer the worst part imo seems to be the actual fucking Metroids. You don't really have the maneuverability to do much more than tank a bunch of damage while trying to spam missiles and hoping you can get the awkwardly positioned weak spot enough to kill them before dying.
