Relatedly, can usually surprise people by noting that Nintendo was founded in 1889.

..and Nokia[nb]Well, the N-Gage was a gaming device.[/nb] was founded in 1865.

Sega was actually founded by American businessmen in Hawaii. It didn't officially become a Japanese company until 1984.

EDIT: Biggytitbo beat me to it.

First to have a built in modem.

The Sega Megadrive / Saturn and Genesis had online capabilities as did the Famicom.

QuoteThe Famicom Modem began mass production in September 1988.

QuoteXBAND (stylized as XB∀ND) was the first online console gaming network, and was available for Super NES and Genesis systems.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_console_gaming#Early_attempts

QuoteThe first online initiative, The Sega Net Work System was a network service in Japan for people using the Sega Mega Drive. Debuting in 1990, this service worked with the Game Toshokan (literally Game Library) cartridge to download games on the console (meaning that the game will have to be re-downloaded each time).[3] Players attached a MegaModem (modem, with a speed of 1,600 to 2,400 bit/s) to the "EXT" DE-9 port on the back of the Mega Drive, and used it to dial up other players to play games. There was a monthly fee of ¥800 [4]

Yeah, but they were all for property networks. The Dreamcast could connect to the internet and had a web browser.

- FIFA 14 is the only game (I think) released for 3 console generations simultaneously - PS2, Wii/PS3/Xbox 360 and the PS4/Xbox One/Wii U.

The PS2/PSP/Vita version was a 'Legacy Edition' though, so it wasn't the same game. Although it was branded as FIFA 14 there were literally no gameplay changes from FIFA 13, which itself was a different beast from the current-gen versions. They just updated the kits and transfer list but nevertheless charged the full £40 for it.

Rapelay began development as a Kirby clone.

Rapelay sounds like bumbling henchmen of an 80's Saturday Morning cartoon villain.

"RAPELAY YOU FOOL, YOU LET THEM ESCAPE!"

The escape key seems like it's been around forever, but was in fact first introduced into computer keyboards in 2009.
