Is there not a thread for this already?  It's an amazing album!  Best thing he's done in years.

A lot of speculation that it'll be his last effort - certainly a running theme in the lyrics, and he's no spring chicken.  If so, what a fine way to exit.

Bought this a few weeks ago at Rough Trade. Haven't listened to it yet. Will do.

First song is pretty damn great, basically sounds like what I thought the one that was the theme for true detective nearly got right.

The rest hasn't really grabbed me yet.

I haven't heard it yet, I was waiting to get paid so I could buy it and devote an evening to listening. Alas, I missed my chance to have listened to it before he left us.
