Had a quick scan through, and these are (possibly not all) the ones not listed in "All Shows" (the first two of which are also shown as "Latest Arrivals" in the email):

Phil Nichol - Nearly Gay
Joe Wells - 10 Things I Hate About UKIP (Audio Only)
Omid Djallili - Live In London (Audio Only)
Cannon and Ball
Ted Robbins

I think this is a new one: Alan Driscoll - Infinite Love

Small Man Big Horse

Two new shows have been added recently, one by Eleanor Morton and one by Ria Lina. I'm not aware of either, but look forward to checking them out. I just checked out their facebook page and it seems pretty decent, with announcements of all new shows (currently at one a week, but I hope we get a bit more than that if it takes off), it's a shame the site doesn't make it clearer than new content's on there, if you search by Release Date neither new title comes up in the first eight suggestions.

Small Man Big Horse

Ria Lina - Possibly unfair to judge as I turned off after five minutes, but it wasn't for me. The show's about confronting taboos but she opens with some lazy material about homosexuality and the bible where the punchlines mostly fell flat or just weren't funny and it felt like stuff I'd seen on the open mic circuit a good few times. I'll probably give it a second shot at some point but I'd be surprised if she wins me over.

Eleanor Morton - A much much better show where Eleanor talks about her anxiety and various other mental health issues. It's clearly a debut show and I'm not sure it needs the songs but she shows a lot of promise, and whilst it's recorded in front of a tiny crowd they often laugh hard, and understandably so.

Small Man Big Horse

Fern Braidy - Male Comedienne - Starts with two fairly okay but slightly bland jokes and I couldn't help but fear this would be another case of a show filmed before the comedian's really ready for it. Then she launches far more confidently in to fifty minutes of great material, a mix of jokes about mental illness, people thinking she's a man, twitter's reaction to her appearance on a panel show, and her career as a stripper, and it feels like watching a different comedian, and she proved me completely wrong. Just about the best thing I've watched on nextup so far (though I'd seen Mr Tony's shows elsewhere).

Small Man Big Horse

Danielle Ward - Seventeen - A mix of anecdotes of when she was that age and advice she'd give seventeen year old's now. Confident and mostly strong stuff, it might start a little slowly but it quickly becomes very funny, my favourite parts being her Sting anecdote, how she was once a Suede fan, and the dishwasher allegory. It doesn't have a 100% hit rate but it is damn impressive, and this has superseded Fern Braidy as the best thing I've seen on the site so far.

As promised, the Bill Hicks upload has happened, and it's Relentless. (As if we thought they'd uneath new stuff and put it on there anyway)

The new 'Recently Added' menu has given me little need to revisit this thread, as, no offence, That's all I used this for.

Hats off to whoever's in charge of NextUp, I messaged them asking for a 'newly added' section and they did it within a month. About 7-8 years ago I remember messaging Spotify and asking for a drop-down menu and it appeared within a few weeks, so, measuring it like that, NextUp is as good as Spotify!

Danielle Ward's bloody brilliant though isn't she? Wow! I've been singing 'Everybody's doing the Louise Wener stance' (to the tune of Half Man Half Biscuit's Len Ganley Stance) (Yes I saw Seymour do that last Fringe) All month

Danielle is superb, do the right thing is excellent, and she makes it even better.

Got away with continuing the podcast whilst having a show on Radio 4 with the exact same premise, too (although not hosted by her).

Was that agony with sue perkins?Although I might just be confusing that with a round in do the right thing.

I think it was called Dilemma, but yes, it was Sue Perkins. Always noticed Danielle Ward's name in the credits, though. Some of the rounds were different but it was clearly an iteration of the same show.

I'd heard DTRT but her Stand Up was something else!

Watching Stephen Banks now, very enjoyable, though also very different

Was Louisa Omielan's show on NextUp or did I just make that up? Can't find it

BBC3 (i.e., iPlayer), I think. BTW, Bridget Christie has a show up on Netflix now.

NextUp used to have Luisa Omielan's "Am I Right Ladies" show up there, but I guess they only had the rights for a certain amount of time. Or now that she's a bigger name someone bought it from them.

Same basic idea, but less rude.

I ended up unsubscribing to this as I found myself rarely watching it, but it's been about ten months now so I'm tempted to rejoin, is anyone still a member? And is there anything new that's a must see?

I also noticed that the Soho Theatre have launched an online service, though it's four quid per show and the selection isn't that great right now - https://www.sohotheatreondemand.com/

olliebean

I just rejoined as they sent me an offer to get 3 months for half price - as it turned out I got another free trial month as well - but have they taken away the option to see all available shows in one list? I was going to go through the list and make a note of everything I wanted to see, but it seems to be only possible to view individual categories now.

Not seen her stand up but she's very good on The Bugle.

olliebean

Just noticed they've removed Chromecast support from the apps for this, meaning there's now no way to watch it on my telly. Definitely more likely to cancel at the end of my free month given this development.

Steptoes_Son

Can anyone who's seen it tell me if the Edward Aczel and Sam Simmons shows on there are worth subscribing for?

Noddy Tomkey

Haven't watched them but there is a free trial. Think it's a month :)

What idiot calls it a "stand up streaming site" and not a urinal

I've not seen Edward Aczel's latest but I saw him a couple of years ago and he was superb, so I imagine it'll be definitely worth checking out. I'm less of a fan of Simmons, when I saw him at the Soho Theatre about five years ago it was a bit forced, but I know many people love him so again I'd imagine it's worth watching, especially as Noddy mentions it's free for the first month and can be cancelled without any issue at any time.

BeardFaceMan

I've only seen Simmons on 8oo10c and he's always brilliant in dictionary corner, very funny stuff. I do get the impression he's a 'small doses' bloke though, fantastic for 5 minutes but I'm not sure how fun it would be for an hour. I intend to find out.

Thanks for that, it's interesting stuff. Looks like they've taken down all of the audio, very short sets and material from 'older' comedians, and Luisa Omielan's show for some reason (though I noticed that was only on the site for a few months before it disappeared), but apart from that everything else is still present. I really do need to rejoin soon, there's a good few shows I really want to see.
