I'm a few episodes behind, but I like that it's loosened up to be able to serve as an opportunity for them to just chat about stuff.

BritishHobo

Quite exciting seeing write-ups of this:

Despite having seen it twice, I have a very Christmas Eve sense of excitement, that it's nearly here. Do hope I get the chance to see it on the big screen again, even though that may start to border on obsessive.

Off to Brum for Halloween.

Me toooooo!

Coming down fae Glasgow. Will try not to make a mess.

DrGreggles

Rearranged Everyman dates have been/will be announced today, plus more dates TBC.
Looks like it will be available OnDemand from the end of September.

Sebastian Cobb

I haven't bothered to claim my Everyman stuff yet (despite him telling me to do so, I keep forgetting) but I assume that'll need to be rebooked?

BritishHobo

Yeah, it looks like the intention is for them to refund everyone who contacts them, and just begin ticket sales again from scratch, no transfer of old tickets or anything.

Giving no details away but there is one screening near-ish me, but far enough away that I would need to stay over- and it's sadly on a weeknight, and it's looking unlikely I can get the next day off work, so it may be a bust for me. That said, I have had the chance to see it twice on the big screen, so I can't be too unhappy.

BritishHobo

Everyman tickets have gone on sale for King's Cross (7 September) and Glasgow (21 September).  They've said on Twitter that Bristol (27 September) is on sale as well, but it's not showing up yet:

BritishHobo

Bristol tickets now live:

https://www.everymancinema.com/bristol/film-info/the-parapod-movie-live-qa

Question is, do I buy one in the vain hope of netting the next day off work?

BritishHobo

Cheers for the heads up! Downloading it now.

Been catching up on Ideas Man. Fucking hell is it making me want to book a ticket for the movie in Bristol. At the moment I really am not sure I can do it due to trains and work stuff, but I really don't want to miss the (potential) last opportunity to see it in the cinema again.

DrGreggles

I'm booked for Leeds (because I'll be in the area... in March 2020) and the big Halloween event.

BritishHobo

FUCK IT. There were only a couple of individual seats left in Bristol, so I pulled the pin. Looks like there's a midnight coach I can get back, so I won't have to duck out early. IT'S ON! Again.

Is the Halloween screening at the MAC special/unique in any way? I have tickets but I'm thinking of ditching in favour of Glasgow (because it's closer). Would I be missing a special Halloween treat?

Film + Q&A + loads of extra scenes

You get those at all screenings, no?

DrGreggles

Not sure if more tickets are on sale for MAC, but they've moved to a bigger room.

DrGreggles

As much as I was mocking the idea of paying to stream a video of a live podcast recording on the Herring thread, I've just bought a ticket for tonight's RHLSTP as Ian & Barry are on it.

+ bonus Bob Mortimer!

MojoJojo

I ended up watching it too. Bob was Bob, gave me some strange sense of deja vu until I realised he was repeating anecdotes from the Buxton podcast.

Barry clammed up for most of it, which was a shame. Then just at the end he comes out with

* and is off.

Im now sad I'm not in the universe where Boldsworth and Gamble were the pirates on Swashbuckle.

*I think he's told it on Ian's radio show at some point, but could be wrong.

That was amazing.

Will it be released online eventually, or is it a subscribers-only thing? I'm not too familiar with RHLSTP. I am listening to the latest Ideas Man at the moment though, the

My glow-in-the-dark ParaPod baseball tee has just come through the letterbox as well. Wearing that to the screening like a proper little fanboy.

MORE HALLOWEEN TICKETS RELEASED. MAC in Birmingham have moved the screening to the biggest room so there are 30 odd new tickets available to the sold out show on 31 Oct.

He's also mentioned a few more dates being in the pipeline, including Liverpool:

QuoteToday's screening's sold out, but future screenings are all at http://theparapod.com - some last minute additions imminent (incl Liverpool that's nearly locked in

Don't think that's been mentioned on Patreon, although I may have missed it. Interested to see where the new screenings are - I know Ian's mentioned a few times though that no cinemas in Wales seemed to be biting, so Bristol will likely still be my nearest.

Hope anyone going to the King's Cross Everyman screening tonight has a great time!

Sent. If anyone else wants to check their PMs then message me directly so you don't clog the thread up. And maybe consider giving a couple of quid to a local cancer charity if you can afford to.
