These are all songs/videos I've found over the years as a result of CaBbers posting links in Oscillations or GB, stuff I probably wouldn't come across otherwise but that I now love. That could be an interesting theme, artists or music people have discovered through CaB...

Stealing Sheep - Apparition
https://youtu.be/AqVYDRM842s

Perfume Genius - Hood
https://youtu.be/OOpkr8uNWpk

Sea Pinks - Peripheral Vision
https://youtu.be/vi4jE_oCDBI

This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren (live)
https://youtu.be/SuwfsS5-iM8

Admittedly it was me who posted this link of a very young, cocky Rod Stewart but I got karma off our late king mook for it so that makes it ok
Rod Stewart- Gasoline Alley (acapella)

Anything that takes elements of Blue Note covers is fine by me.

Fitz & The Tantrums Moneygrabber

Spoon. Do You. One of those you really need to watch all the way through
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd6aXM8WHGw

Massive Attack. Take it there. Represents how I feel being an alcoholic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWSt_q7M3zI

Deerhunter. Breaker. One of their best songs IMO and very simple but very lovely video

!!!. Jamie my intentions are bass. It may be obviously knowingly cool but it is objectively cool
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVFeHv4oxJc

Sgt. Duckie

Pulp's brilliant Do You Remember the First Time? vid. Lyrics changed from 'screw him' to 'knew him'.

Candida and Russell heaven.

Radiohead - Like Spinning Plates (Laurent Briet)
http://dai.ly/x2is9
This was an unofficial video made by the director as a test for the light painting technique. He went on to use the concept for RHCP's 'Fortune Faded' (though most of the light painting was done using CG in that)

Mention of Massive Attack above reminded me of Protection (Michel Gondry again)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Epgo8ixX6Wo
I'm a sucker for in-camera effects.

Portishead - To Kill A Dead Man (Alexander Hemming/Portishead)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4C0KHsR8Wg
This used to an after-midnight staple in the early days of MTY2. The band decided to write. produce, soundtrack and star in a short euro-noir spy film which was made at the same time as the video for Sour Times (which features some of the same footage before being converted to black and white). Stills from the shoot were also  used on the cover and booklet of Dummy.

Dayvan Cowboy BoC.

I love this video. Two real heroes who have pushed the limits of human endeavour. Joseph Kiitinger the first man to jump from space. Laird Hamilton the best big wave surfer on earth. And the song is pure class.

Karma Police is a classic. In a similar vein this. The amazing UNKLE Rabbit in your headlight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsg1y2ZrPfA
I was going to put that, but it looking back it does suffer a bit from the 'dated late 90s CGI' thing on the cars. Both were directed by Jonathan Glazer (he also directed the video for Street Spirit) and he regards them as a pair - he says on Rabbit In Your Headlights he got the emotional impact he failed to get with Karma Police.

Golden E. Pump

Always loved 'Aisha' by Death in Vegas (both the song and the video).

They both are beautifully unsettling. I like the underpass setting in the UNKLE vid but I really also love how in the Radiohead song at the end it cuts to the car in flames. Just brilliant.

Have you heard the 3D remix of Rabbit? I actually prefer it.

it was a controversial video at the time, relegated to post-midnight on MTV's schedule. It's an early example of having it's cake and eating it by using the 'scantilly-clad female victim' trope from exploitation cinema and subverting it at the end.
Dead Elvis and The Contino Sessions-era Death In Vegas had some great singles accompanied by qualityvideos (I posted the one fro Dirt earlier). Here's the original video for Dirge, which was another late-night MTV2 staple until it was replaced with the less controversial Richard Fenwick 'dancing' version (I'm guessing because the original didn't go down well in the US market):

Yes - I bought the single at the time (I've still got the cut-out-and-keep Futura 'Pointman' card figure that was included in the NME to advertise it ). 3D later did the artwork for UNKLE's War Stories album too.

On Karma Police, Glazer did cheat a bit with the fire at the end by using some CGI - here's a nice little behind the scenes video on how the trail of fire effect was created:
https://vimeo.com/208545198
The actor being chased burned his thumb badly from repeated takes of trying to light the book of matches behind his back, and at one point Thom Yorke was being gassed by the exhaust fumes leaking into the back of the car.

Mate! I love Clinic but haven't listened to them for ages. I remember hearing someone on XFM play Walking With Thee and saying it was the best song he'd ever heard[nb]he used to say that about once a week but in this case...[/nb]. I agreed. What an incredibly underrated band. Love them love them love them.

This has got a bit of a 15 Storeys High atmosphere. I love council block stuff.

It wouldn't have been Zane Lowe, he said that every hour. I also got into them through XFM but it was this monster https://youtu.be/gauYEesJx9U

This isn't a deposit for the vid ark - it's good, but it's not CaBbing. Also the video detracts from the beaucoups of the boogie.

It was Zane Lowe. The guy that used to answer questions that he'd asked a band during an interview. I liked his enthusiasm though. Yeah I don't want to derail the thread by just posting 'videos what I like'. Which I kind of have done sorry OP.[nb]Mumsnet abbreviation there[/nb]
