From North By Northwest to Ed Wood, a classic excellent actor. Sad news.

Gulftastic

Sad news. First encountered him in cheesy old Space 1999. It was only seeing him in other roles later on when I realised how good he was. RIP.

Lisa Jesusandmarychain

The actor who played Bela Lugosi's dead :(

LOVE Crimes and Misdemeanours.

Yup, probably the single best performance by a man in a Woody Allen film and the emotional core of Ed Wood. I assume the fact he only truly broke out at such a late stage in his career is a big part of why he doesn't have many more noteworthy roles to his name because he was clearly capable of it.

Glebe

Sadness... cracking actor. Fantastic as Lugosi in Ed Wood.

Sin Agog

Inspiring man.  Be sure to see him in Francis Ford Coppola's best movie of the '80s, Tucker, at some point.

Really enjoyed his episode of WTF from a few months back- which must have been one of the last things he did.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4WbqW961ZI
