Laptop requirements to host live radio?

Hello all,

I'm going to purchase a new laptop soon, and I would very much like to get back into hosting live radio like I used to via CaB Radio. Although it was just about possible to host on my old laptop, I remember NoSleep and a few other folks very kindly going through a complicated setup with me, which was complicated primarily because of a sound card issue.

So before I make a purchase, I thought I should ask - what are the recommended requirements of a laptop to host live radio? I would be using a Shure SM58 microphone and almost certainly investing in another Focusrite Scarlett model too (assuming this would still be necessary, but I'm open to suggestions).
