Well, like Edmund Blackadder I have a woman's hands, i.e. my index fingers are slightly longer than my ring fingers.

In the 90s Tango ads, the "you know you've been Tango'd" voiceover at the end was done by none other than GIL! SCOTT! HERON!!!

Literally copulated with my fez over this one. What in the name of Greek buggery?!

Just found out that Krypton Factor presenter and retired newscaster Gordon Burns is second cousin to enchanted scrotum Ed Sheeran.

The ring finger on my left hand is longer than my middle finger. Supposed to indicate artistic ability - if it is I've not made use of it.

I doubt it.  That would require some degree of coordination.

Have you considered finger-painting?

^ good idea, thanks, I'll dig out my old box of acrylics this afternoon. Better not use the cadmium ones though, just in case.

I think that's Huawei disputing the claim. They've not refuted it. It comes down to an argument about how you characterise ML-enhanced photography.

How many of youse lot thought the eye rolling twenty-odd year old teenager from offa 'Parks and Recreation ' was played by an actress with the name Audrey Plaza?

Having been given his top-secret mission to attack the Merville battery on D-Day, Lt. Col. Terence Otway had to be certain his men wouldn't spill the beans ahead of 6 June 1944.

He sent 30 of the prettiest members of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, dressed in civilian clothes, into village pubs near where his soldiers were training.

They were asked to do all they could to discover the men's mission. None of the men gave anything away

I bet they did spill their beans, the dirty bollocks

Dunno if this belongs here or in the obvious things thread (or neither!) but that's just ended 26 years of me thinking Here We Go was by the Stereo MCs. In my defence it even says it was 'heavily influenced' by them.

I had no idea until today that George's answer machine song from Seinfeld: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg-TqEFYcfM - was based on this tv theme tune - https://youtu.be/B4JCehDOy54?t=30

Possibly should have been posted in the "Obvious Things"...thread thinking about it. Though I am amazed I didn't know it.

I don't think it's at all obvious if you're not American. (i.e. pre-Internet, probably pretty much nobody outside of America had ever seen or heard of The Greatest American Hero. Probably still not many non-Americans have, outside of the context of that Seinfeld song being based on it.)

That's true, I did actually see the pilot of The Great American Hero once as it was released on video but that was a long, long time before I ever saw that episode of Seinfeld.

The infamous Simpsons episode with MJ in it (Stark Raving Dad) only contains MJ's voice when Leon Kompowsky is speaking and not singing.  All the songs including "Lisa It's Your Birthday" are sang by Kipp Lennon (so you don't have to feel guilty).

Kipp Lennon also sings loads of other classics including the "Flaming Moe's" theme tune and "I'm Checking In"
