Thanks again to Del for swapping Wonder Years with Seinfeld so that I can see the latter when I get in rather than the former.  I hope it suits everyone else equally well.

Vampirella is presumably an excuse to get some soft porn watched, which is fair enough innit.

Here's the wikipedes:

QuoteIt was directed by Jim Wynorski who in 2013 said it was the one movie of his he regretted making. "I can look back on it today and just say 'Oh well', but back when the memories were fresh and the blood on the floor was yet to dry, it was painful to even edit," he said. "What went wrong??? Wrong choice for the star, massive union problems in Vegas, studio interference, theft, accidents, 112 degree heat, you name it, we had it happen. But as least I got to see Soupy Sales perform."

I'm looking forward to learning who Soupy Sales is tonight.

This is practically a [banned troll] wet dreams. Big Tits, trashy film and it stars the Who's Roger Daltrey.

It was part of series of films made for Showtime under the banner Roger Corman Presents. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Corman_Presents

From an interview which is linked to on the Vampirella Wikipedia page:

QuoteWynorski: My take on Vampirella is that it's a mess. The last time I watched it was to do the commentary which was awhile ago. It's a film I cannot watch. Everything went wrong. Everything! I like Talisa Sota as a human being. She's very pretty and she's very sexy. But she's not Vampirella. They forced me to use her. She just didn't have the body for the costume. Roger Daltry was great. But, yeah...it was in Vegas. There was embezzlement on the set. It was really a nasty, nasty picture to work on. And it came out badly, too. So, I'm just saying that's one that I look at and say, it could have been and it wasn't.

I like commentaries where the commentator is critical of the movie.  The writer's commentary for Superman 4 is a highlight, and the critic commentaries for the Matrix sequels are the best thing about them.  I still think we should sometime have a (spam) showcase of some of our favourite commentary tracks.

I hear that there is a good Home Alone commentary but I can't lay my hands on it.  Perhaps it's a Blu-Ray only thing.

Thanks for hosting these Delete. I'm actually enjoying Roseanne which I'd never have expected.

Have to say I'm bewildered why Replies From View doesn't want to watch creepy Wonder Years. Kevin and Voice of Older Kevin are such great characters.

Just me, I guess.  I'd watch the entire line-up if I was in, but I've been catching the last ten minutes of Monty Python, which is great, but then the Dave Gorman Show (until last week) and Wonder Years (which I've honestly seen enough of now) were taking it out of me.  I don't think there are any more Wonder Years jokes to make, which would be the only reason for me to keep watching it.

Hard to explain but maybe those were a good wind-down after the comedy block, but just catching them on their own I felt I was missing out until Quantum Leap came on.

I always associate Seinfeld with later evenings anyway, so hopefully it'll suit everyone.

Would you prefer it then if I swapped Police Squad and Monty Python around too?

Would you mind doing that?  I would prefer it!

Cheers Del.

The highlights for me so far are fianlly getting aorund to watching some Seinfeld haveing never watched it at the time, how Quantum Leap has become almost the semi main event and exploring cult classic and enjoyable bad movies. Its the communal chat that makes this adn adding up quickly googled information on actors as we go, like spotting Biff (from back to the future) in Sabrinia the other week.

Kicking off today's show with a visit to the world of witchcraft, with Sabrina.

police Squad now.

Also caught Dj doing a strong man pose in Roseanne.

Now in its later slot, Seinfeld.
