What if it wasn't fresh when it was put into the box?

Doesn't matter. Boxfresh = as fresh as when it came out the box.

What if went mouldy between being put in the box and being taken out of the box?

Again, doesn't matter. 'Boxfresh' = as fresh as when it came out the box

I've been quite specific

I learnt from Pointless this week that a Dutch Uncle is 'a person giving firm but benevolent advice'.

Didn't have a clue before - heard the phrase every so often for 40+ years but never thought to look it up.

Never knew this - whenever I heard the phrase, I always thought it sounded like an early Brian Eno song.

The painted girl in the opening credits of Goldfinger (1965) is Margaret Nolan who plays Dink in the film. She also played Dawn Brakes who has a scrap with Barbara Windsor in Carry On Girls (1973)

I think the "Dutch" adjective is similar to the "pardon my French" thing, in that our imperialist rivals were made fun of as being filthy, cowardly, stingy etc.
