Please feel free to list yours.

this is really off the top of me head.

10. Silicon Valley - although this has been off the boil since season 3.
9.  Jon Kearns/James Acaster's Dave Talks
8.  Robins & James podcast
7. Bojack Horseman
6. Vice Principals
5.
4.
3. Chappelle xmas netflix - this really is mature standup, not Louie "it takes twenty years to become great at comedy" C.K. doing wank gags.
2. Bobby Homeowner audio cv - would be no.1 but the thing is three minutes long.
1. Nathan4u - Finding Frances - brilliant mix of reality tv, stunt comedy and pathos.

Worst: Josh Widdecombe's sitcom - what the fuck was he thinking?

Couldn't think of anything for #5 or #6. For example, I really liked Herring asking Milliband stupid questions but I can't rank it. Lots of blindspots, but well unless I get another leg amputated I don't have time to watch everything.

10. Its always sunny - Hero or hate crime episode
9. Adam Riches - insane chicanery @ edinburgh fringe
8. The Good Place - season 1 (particularly the finale)
7. This Country series 1
6. Stewart Lee - Content provider tour
5. Bojack Horseman season 4
4. Joseph Morpurgo - Hammerhead @ edinburgh fringe
3. Detectorists series 3
2. Daniel Kitson - Something other than everything
1. That clip of the kids coming into the room while their dad did a bbc interview.

I saw season 1 of Detectorists. Surely there's no way it's become that good.

I loved it from the beginning, and each episode makes me feel like I've had a short countryside break away, which is why I rate it so highly. It doesn't make me laugh as much, but I absolutely love the feel of it and being in that world with those characters.

lebowskibukowski

Any one of Bob Mortimer's South African stories.

League of Gentleman reunion was an unexpected delight, I really thought they would screw the pooch and they didn't. Oh, and the Absolutely radio show. Ed Reardons Week, Alexeii Sayles Imaginary Sandwich Bar, John Finnemores Souvenir Programme all go from strength to strength.

MikeShaft

The eight episodes of series five and the two specials - Taskmaster. All equal first.

alan nagsworth

1. nirvanna the band the show
2. everything else (a footnote)

Small Man Big Horse recommended the stand up website Next Up. I really enjoyed Jonny Pelham, Bobby Mair and another guy whose name I can't remember. Free trial available for newcomers.

Finally saw Freddie Got Fingered. Superb. Not really from this year though.

CaB makes me laugh more than anything these days. If I had to single out a thread from last year,it'd probably be Gruesome Trevor.

Personally it was What's Up Doc on some random night at 3am, laughed more than I have in years.

As far as stuff that came out this year:
Nathan For You S4 -- Finding Frances has overshadowed how briliant the season was overall, I think, but it ruled
The Good Place -- Still not totally sure how I feel about it, but Danson's great and it's surprised me sufficiently
Insecure -- ...if it counts? It's not very funny, I like it a lot though
The Best Show -- feel like Tom's been a lot better since his return in general, will fall a few months behind repeatedly but it's a great show
Chapo Trap House -- took a bit of a nosedive those few weeks in the summer when Amber was away and hasn't really recovered. Kinda don't expect it to be around with the current team by the end of the year. Still overall gave me a lot of laughs
Crazy Ex Girlfriend -- Saw some of it, unsure how much. Frequently annoying as hell but repeatedly gets me laughing too
We Hate Movies -- Very much my definition of easy listening, rarely hits major highs but it's always worth a pleasant chuckle or too of familiarity at the very least

...really didn't watch much comedy this past year

This post on p.2 of the Schweinstein thread would be in my top 10.

I was called to meet Harvey Weinstein at the Savoy Hotel when I was 17. I assumed it would be in a conference room which was very common. When I arrived ,reception told me to go to his room . He opened the door in his bathrobe . I was incredibly naive and young....
