Maybe I'm misunderstanding the purpose of the thread, but I'm looking for a HD copy of the Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue / Let Sleeping Corpses Lie.

Can't be viewed (even bought) on Amazon. Anyone have a nice shiny HD copy of this they could share? Or know where to find one?

1080p version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEM6f5kw25E

Download it with this https://keepvid.ch/

Feel foolish I didn't think to check YouTube. Thanks everyone, yourself especially El U.

I generally don't think to either, but sometimes they end up on there in full and in HD. Enjoy!

I've been looking for a copy of an 1994 film called Kill The Moonlight for quite some time. It's by a guy called Steve Hanft who directed some of Beck's early music videos. The sample "i'm a driver, i'm a winner. Things are gonna change, I can feel it" from Loser is taken from Kill The Moonlight.

It's unseeded on Cinemageddon (with two people trying to download it, but currently being unable to) and I can't find it on any of the other private trackers I'm a member of unfortunately.

Ah well, thanks for looking anyway!

It looks really interesting so if you could send me a link too it'd be enormously appreciated.

Afraid it's not on Cinemageddon.

It's really weird how certain films can be seemingly incredibly rare despite the the internet providing nearly everything, but also something that you rented on a whim in blockbuster fucking video.

Don't even know if it was out on dvd.
found a promo copy on video though.

Pranet

There are quite a lot of old films on ok.ru. After a while it limits streaming quality if you don't register (I got round that with a proxy, but a free proxy also isn't very reliable.)

To register you need to give them a phone number. Anyone registered? Do they send spam texts to you the rest of your life? Is it a bad idea to register for any reason?

chveik

does anyone have subtitles for The Bosom Friend (1997, Ulrich Seidl)?

itsfredtitmus

at a loss here. can anyone be a dear and search the usual sites for me to see if eng subtitles exist for this? wanted to see it for fuckin' years x https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095872/

It's on KG with hardcoded subs if you've got an account.

(Tangentially, I sometimes prefer hardcoded subtitles.  They're like an equally grainy, mellow extension of the image on screen, rather than this separate spool of words plopped on top).

Puce Moment

That's true! I have lots of nostalgic memories of watching arthouse films on videotape and on 35mm prints in London cinemas. The fuzzy subs seemed to be part of the the texture of the film. Like a palimpsest. The new Criterion print of The Cremator is beautiful, but it looks odd with smooth, elegant subs. I prefer the old shitty, vibrating, almost unreadable subs of yore.

itsfredtitmus

Out 1 is a better and more enjoyable watch on the washed out TV rip

I don't but itsfredtitmus has kindly offered to send it to me.

I'm eagerly seeking a copy of Rusty Empty Can (1979) AKA Sabita kankara by Yoshikoko Matsui. There's a few recent reviews on Letterboxd that indicate it's available somewhere (albeit without subtitles). It's sadly not on any of my usual resources though.

Small Man Big Horse

I think we share the same resources, but I just checked on Cinemageddon, AvistaZ, CinemaZ and MySpleen and it's not on any of them unfortunately.

screening maybe?

Junglist

Its not anywhere so it probably is a screening.

I'd really like to get hold of a John Hurt film from 1989 called Little Sweetheart (also known as Poison Candy). Searching for the first title is just bringing up a load of porn links and I'm not going down that potentially dodgy rabbit hole. I haven't seen it since it was broadcast on telly when I was a kid but I remember quite liking it.

Edit: not sure why I didn't think to check Youtube, it's on there in full, albeit not great quality...

There's an Amazon webrip about - however if Youtube is sound for ya, all good!

El Unicornio, mang

I saw it was on Amazon Prime (but only for US people), could you direct me to the webrip so I can compare? Thanks

Its only on a private site.

Neomod

I can't seem to find Paweł Pawlikowski's Last Resort (2000) which I 'd like to revisit. It doesn't seem to be on amazon/netflix or my selection of (2) 'iffy' streaming sites.
