Jim,

I haven't logged into this website for many years, but that is absolutely exceptional. I was struggling with spotify and local files and you've created the exact perfect solution.  I just wanted to say thank you and that is really top draw work Sir.

This.

mrfridge

Thanks Cakeinmilk. I don't suppose you've got last Friday's unedited show too?

lankyguy95

The Lil Dicky/Chris Brown bit today... I had to pause it for laughing by the end.

pk1yen

My dog got concerned i was laughing so hard at that.

Sorry dude, it kinda corrupted during one song so isn't wholly complete :-( though I think @jim_funtingham has it available here somewhere http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2018/

mrfridge

Thanks on both counts. I couldn't figure out how Jim's RSS feed worked so that link's really helpful for a luddite like me!

You can definitely grab the mp3s directly from that URL (the edited versions are from cakeinmilk -- thanks for creating those, by the way!).  If you use a podcast app that lets you subscribe directly to an RSS feed, you should be able to subscribe to http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2018/rss.xml to get the full shows that way, too.  I'll do what I can to help if it's not working for anyone!

Ah no worries! I'm glad work isn't being repeated.

Today's recording started a few mins late for me as my PC restarted itself, but I caught the start of the chat at least, so the Edit is intact.

My full recording has several brief gaps (a second or two each), for some reason.  If you wouldn't mind posting your full recording, I think it will be better than mine, and I might be able to splice in the beginning from mine to have a complete show.

I think the problem I had was due to using a Mac which doesn't seem to have any default way of seeing the RSS feed. Essentially the link was broke when I tried it in Safari. Most likely it's me being a spanner but either way, the other link that cakeinmilk posted is working fine so thanks again.

Sure thing - because I'm not sure when it started I wasn't sure when his last song played, so might need trimming down, but here's today's partial https://ufile.io/bevpw

Thanks!  Your recording already ended in the right spot (right before a fade out to the next program), so I just added the beginning, here: http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2018/kitson-20180523.full.mp3

I'm on number four and enjoying it very much. Very much indeed. I barely listen to music these days, for some reason - besides not feeling like listening to music.

But I had Daniel's amusing chat and excellent musical picks on while I spent over an hour cleaning the living shit out of my bathroom and the whole thing was a delight.

Firstly here's yesterdays' again but edited properly this time (sorry): https://ufile.io/6325u

And then here's today's (Thursday 24/05) edit (from Jim's full recording - cheers): https://ufile.io/s2ral

AVH

Thoroughly enjoyed all of these - thank you so much for all of your efforts, particularly in producing the edited versions for the dweeb/acolyte in a hurry and thanks also to Jim and his RSS feed.

6 Music's getting worse and worse in the daytime. Jupitus left and as much as I love Shaun I'm still a WFMU listener every morning. I flick over every day in case of a good guest or just to listen to Shaun's bis but the music's not doing what it did when Jupitus would whack on a bit Calypso at 7.50am and pepper it with his stories or get people in like Terry Gilliam to tell them how he spent £400 on a poster of one of his films.

Kitson's music choices used to be great at like 2am on Resonance, but the last few weeks they've set my day up perfectly, for the first time in years. and the 'chat', fuck me, Lil Dicky spouting the N word over and over after days of apologising for swearing and playing Fuck and Run by Liz Phair and... just... the lot. The lot of it was dead good. Jupitus did a mint book, Good Morning Nantwich, about his time in Morning radio. Imagine a Kitson one! F me in the B.H.

one_sharper

Thanks to cakeinmilk and jim_funtingham for their great work with recording and uploading these. Managed to listen to all but one of the shows live; agree that it was a fantastic way to start the day. With Tony Law's weekly show on Resonance as well, Thursdays have been brilliant the past few weeks. It'd be great if it became an annual thing like he suggested.

Tomsidg

Thanks from me too. Really enjoyed listening to these.

I saw him on Sunday doing a work in progress show. Think these are my favourite shows of his as he just ends up talking to the audience for a couple of hours with a few bits of what he's working on added to the end. Looking forward to what he does next.

Can someone up these again please?
Maybe to Mega?
The links all say that it's premium only now...

They are all here: http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2018/

You can also subscribe to this podcast feed to send them directly to your podcast app: http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2018/rss.xml

The ones named something.edit.mp3 were edited (by @cakeinmilk) to remove all the music.  The something.full.mp3 files are the full shows (and these are what's in the podcast feed).

Tickets for Keep on sale now: https://www.bac.org.uk/content/45195/whats_on/whats_on/shows/keep

The BAC website's a shitshow at the moment, but if you persevere, it does work eventually. Got my tickets for one of the Sunday matinees.

As chance would have it, yes :)

Probably a long shot but did anyone buy 2 tickets for Saturday 12th January for this show who is willing to swap for mine on Friday 11th?

I was broke when I saw your post so couldn't buy tickets but was amazed to see that some were still available yesterday and so bought one. Is this a sign of Kitson becoming less popular? Or just because he's doing many more dates than normal?

Mango Chimes

They'll sell out, and back of a fag packet he's playing to about one and a half Hammersmith Apollos.
