Captain Z

Some people take the internet way too seriously.

It sad that you're so easily distracted by lame panto - someone waving a bit of old rag on a stick, that you can't see you're having your strings pulled by a massive global death machine.

Hah yeah, imagine being distracted by a torch-waving rally of neo-Nazis! Snooze!

phantom_power

Don't forget the murder, and then the subsequent defence of the march by the President of the fucking USA

Yes, some of them are even FBI special counsels.

He isn't calling for people to be banned because they are against the war in Syria is he? You can be against war in Syira and still claim that other people who are against the war in Syria are spreading misinformation.

Yes, it is odd who someone who always spouts on about the lack of nuance and middle ground between the opposing sides constantly fails to see nuance and turns everything into a binary choice

No-one has said Soros can't be criticised at all. Posts that claim he has amazing powers to create events and control narratives and other such assorted dogwhistling conspiracism are going to be criticised, however.

Yeah, some rednecks pretending to be Nazis is definitely right up there with the big problems we face in the world.

Ahh yeah, that billionaire oligarch who can never do anything wrong and must never be criticised. Meanwhile, this is just fine -

No, I said that event was engineered to cause a conflict between two warring sides - as a divide and rule tactic, in exactly the same way the CIA and state department use assets like Soros - with his fake 'democracy' building (eg neocon regime change) Open Society to do the same thing with their regime change fake color revolutions in places like Georgia and Ukraine.

Now what sort of person wouldn't get worried by Nazis?

ieXush2i

Charlottesville and the normalisation of far-right is less of a problem than Medium not allowing conspiracists to use their platform.

Indeed, I remember a certain member here blaming the murder in Charlottesville on the "Sorosian agenda"...

I'm taking a wild punt but how would everyone feel if everything George Soros was chased off the internet?  Would it be OK?

Only looking for solutions here.

ajsmith2

tbh I'm not convinced this Soros bloke even exists, and isn't just some kind of Emmanuel Goldstein style construct designed to satisfy the blame needs of the Infowars set.

The kind of person that has some degree of perspective and critical faculties? They are not Nazis. The Nazis were a large organised political party in Germany in the 20s-40s, who destroyed half of Europe. These idiots are homegrown American racists from a very homegrown American tradition, a ragtag of sad men with no power, resources or indeed, brains, wailing about a lost past, pretending to be Nazis by co-opting a bit of their regalia.  Stop bigging them up.

And you'll tell that to the minorities they direct hate speech and violence towards, right? "Oh ignore them, they aren't True Nazis as the National Socialist Party no longer exists"

Mate, we have actual war criminals running the fabric of western politics, both sides, enabled by bloodthirsty regime change propagandists in the mainstream media - an entire political and media establishment normalising mass murder, constantly pushing for war and conflict, and you're worried about bogeymen in a field somewhere. Get a grip.

Dex Sawash

Nice that someone is protecting the legacy of the historical nazis

No sorry I can only be worried about one thing at a time, and it's binary. It's either on or off I'm afraid. And currently climate change, illegal wars, sexual abuse and anything else bad in the world is OFF and American Neo-Nazis is ON.

Uh, I can also be worried about all that? It's not either or, Mr Whatabout. You can't conceive of what it's like not to be biggytitbo.

Seriously Bigs, it is possible to worry about more than one thing.  We are not obliged to accept a gang of violent larping nazis trolling our towns and cities just because there's a shadowy criminal conspiracy by the elite to dominate the world - remember how that one played out last time?

If you can't win a battle of ideas against those you consider to be dumb then what does that say about your own ideas?

I already did but you missed it, which doesn't bode well either for me or you.

Buelligan

If it's so small that I missed it, I'm guessing it needs a bit of work.
