Nah, as Danger Man indicates, Peterson recently did a debate about political correctness in which Fry and Peterson were on the same team (on the 'anti' side). So I think Fry might actually admire him, which tells you everything you need to know about Fry's actual abilities for critical discernment.

Peterson's been a repeat (warmly received and largely unchallenged) guest on Russell Brands Trews too. Just saying that makes me reflect how seismically things have changed over the last 3 years. He's definitely the acceptable face of the right leaning end of the culture wars that it's okay for old media 'iconoclasts' to endorse. Ironically he's taking the mainstream presence and gigs that Milo Y was poised/meant to cross over to in early 2017 before he was torpedoed from the right and had to limp away to the Info Wars bolthole.

Milo Y vs Russell Brand is the great 'meeting of minds' personality showdown of this decade that never happened, their periods of peak annoying fame just missing each other.

Brand has the right idea on many things politically, but his affection for cosmic mystical bullshit has always been his Achilles heel. Hence why he seems to genuinely like Peterson, who is essentially an angry Deepak Chopra for people who have a latent resentment of women.
