Ed:sorry, that's by the by. But having not really got involved with YouTube culture, it is strange to see how it has really evolved its own idiom in the last ten years. Everything from intonation to structure to 'like and subscribe' soundbites. It's weird. A lot of it seems to have developed from early amateurish imitation of existing media (like local news, which in itself relies on completely nutty conventions and language sometimes) and then established itself in a different way. Like cargo cults. Someone should do a study on it.
