Some very useful articles in this thread, especially the dossiers of Tory racism the action (or, frequently, inaction) that followed.

Where can these things be more loudly broadcast? Owen Jones seems to be a fighting a one-man defence of Corbyn at the moment, rather at odds with the general direction of the rest of the Guardian. Perhaps his editor would allow him to write an article about Tory racism, for editorial balance.

If the Sunday Times find 2000 offensive messages on Labour affiliated fb pages send them and every single media outlet evidence of 8000 contemporary Tory posts, highlighting the worst and share every single article on your social media page.

Write to your MP and demand they take specific action to denounce media reporting, particularly anywhere with a public service remit. Eg. Ask Javid to apologize and retract his statement about Momentum being neo fascists.

What's more, do the same as them, never shut up about it until the shitball grows in size.

Contact Momentum, Novara Media, Canary, and ask if there is  a good contact to coordinate this response to ensure maximum impact and a sustained build up of pressure.

Even involve the New Statesman and Guardian and Independent and the BBC.

Contact any lawyers or barristers that are left leaning and discuss any legal angles where media outlets disseminating mendacious lies and distortions can be publicly denounced and humiliated.

Contact every lefty invited onto mainstream platforms and drip feed them stats, titbits and good angles of attack.

Contact the press complaints commission with a report condensing this and demand action.

Final one, re-release Labour's manifesto in bitesize form amending it to state in capital letters the aim to fight and destroy all forms of racism and post it to everyone in the country.

The Conservatives have been hit by a race row after a former Tory minister condemned a party leaflet warning Labour would turn a suburb into an "inner city area".

The newsletter, produced by local Tories in the outer London borough of Havering, carries a headline: "Labour's shocking plan to change Romford for good."

Alongside pictures of Jeremy Corbyn and London mayor Sadiq Khan, it warns Labour would turn it into "boroughs like Hackney, Newham, Camden and Barking, rather than a traditional part of Essex".

The Conservative Party have launched an "urgent" investigation after a Tory campaigner posted pictures of a bruised arm which she claims was inflicted by a fellow activist.

A Conservative Party spokesman said: "We take all such incidents extremely seriously. A party member has been suspended and an urgent investigation is underway."

This is not the first Tory council candidate to hold what you might politely call objectionable views. Hillary Su, standing in Soho – a hub for gay nightlife – has called gay sex "immoral", it was revealed this week. She at first refused to deny it, replying in an email to Buzzfeed, "Who am I to judge." She later told the Mirror, "I do not make judgements about people's relationships or what people do in private and it was never my intention to suggest otherwise. As a Christian, I believe we should embrace love and celebrate it wherever it is found."

Earlier this month Calderdale councillor Mike Payne was suspended pending investigation after sharing an article referring to "Muslim parasites".

A Tory leaflet handed out in Havering in March was described as "a case study in dog-whistle racism" by a Tory peer. It warned residents that the suburban area was at risk of becoming like an "inner-city area", and Labour winning councillors would mean "Havering resembling boroughs like Hackney, Newham, Camden and Barking, rather than traditional parts of Essex" and result in "our cherished union jack flag being taken down".

And who could forget Mohammed Amin, the chair of the Conservative Muslim Forum, saying he was "disgusted" by the dog-whistle racism of Zac Goldsmith's 2016 Mayoral campaign which tried to paint Sadiq Khan as a "closet extremist"? Goldsmith's punishment for running this campaign, which senior Muslim Tory Sayeeda Warsi described as "appalling"? Being re-selected as MP for Richmond Park.
