So runners and riders.

Israel were strong favourites for last few months, but have slipped in the last few weeks. So-so reports on there live shows and the fear that the song may have been overplayed like last year where the overwhelming favourites Italy bombed on the night. Some may also fear that Israel are not exactly the most popular nation for the target audience here which we can assume would be very left wing. Not the singers fault, but it is what it is. Its catchy enough and the theme of female empowerment should still ensure a decent position.

So the new favourite today is Cyprus. Genuinely can't get behind it that much, its a catchy enough and from all accounts the live show will be awesome, but not for me..

Third favourite is Norway. Its the return of Alexander Rybak aka the man who won in 2009 with the fantastic fairytale. This is very poor compared to that but nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

After that its Bulgaria who normally do well and France whose message of helping refugees should resonate well with the audience.

I have money on both and at times in the last few weeks there was times when either song were second favourite behind Israel.

Czech Republic could do well, but not sure how well it will be received on the night.

Be shocked if the winner does not come from the above. The UK and Ireland as usual have sent dross. Expect to hear moaning about tactical voting when both bomb though from people who should know better.
