Hah, I totally forgot that were you Ross !!

Seeing as we're doing album spamming. Here's our album for free here (you also get the album at full quality and a bonus album if you buy it): http://www.ilovecubus.co.uk/tiredeye.html (zipped at the bottom for ease of something or other.)

Lord of divs

Hi

Here's some stuff I have done, I don't profess to be very good but I like making music.  It would be great to hear the opinions of the knowledgeable whores that can be found here.

anyway go easy.

Good playing, and interesting songwriting. I confess my attention wandered off about halfway through. Maybe you should chuck in a chorus or two. Maybe it's just the effects on your vocals. Quite woozy.

You probably shouldn't put ambient in your myspace title though, it really isn't ambient.

Thanks stomach for having a listen and your comments.  Nice to have someone who isn't a mate have a listen and tell me what they think.  Sorry you lost interst halfway through though!  Ah well.

Pylon Man

I remember about 6 years ago my cousin and I made a techno type song in Music 2000. It was brilliant and the chorus featured a string build-up that went into a weird Psycho type thing. Lost it years though. Hope my cousin still has a copy. Of course it's entirely possible that it's crap and I've got rose tinted headphones.

Some music me and my band at University recorded recently. The 3rd was mainly just for fun. Would appreciate any comments greatly

Shoulders?-Stomach!

You're really really good. Hope that's an adequate comment.

Although that lead guitar isn't Peter Green or even Noel Gallagher.

Touch of the Neil Young about the 3rd song. Young Neil Young.

Just created a myspace for my guitary songwriting stuff. See what you think.

chand

one mistake after another (3.19)
A sort of jaunty poppy thing with some 'singing' at the end.

tiny fragments of nothing fired into the gaping void (hell yeah) (7.31)
Pompously-titled ambience that takes about four minutes to get going. Yay!

priest (4.31)
Screeching freeform atonal noise stuff with a guitar that sounds like a saxophone being killed.

An ear-splittingly loud noise track I made called "Psychotropic Freakout". I did warn you about how loud it is so don't complain if you go deaf.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Very good again, chand, you're making a habit of that.

I like the style of melodies in the first one. tiny fragments is just a superb listen. I mean, it doesn't actually 'get going' at any stage in the ordinary sense, but it's great all the same. I was thinking 'well you know what you're getting with this guys music', but it actually incorporates some new sounds and elements that are very cool.

Priest...hmmm, dont really like atonal noise.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

That tag is really fucking me off, at least I'm actually listening to what people are doing and giving them feedback which is the point of the thing. I'm not proclaiming to be an expert critic, I'm just giving my honest opinion and I try to be constructive when I am criticizing. Tags are meant to be fun, not the domain of cowards.

Anyway, that over with,
Here's a quick tune from Booth and The Bad Angel which is an almost comatose love song on the record, I tried to see how it would work played a bit quicker and louder, and it seemed to work ok, see what you think:

Fall In Love With Me

El Unicornio, mang

Shoulders gives decent constructive criticism and praise, I don't see the problem.

Just a stupid idea I had recently.

Nice work there, I like what happens with the bubbles near the end, you should've made more of that!

Spammy self-promotion removed.  This is for sharing songs, please keep the myspace and site-pimping and suchlike to a minimum folks.  And give links to mp3s if poss, instead of directing us to your site and myspace. Although doing it the odd time isn't too bad, but some people are really taking the piss here - Neil

Neil

Just seen Purlieu's post.  As well as the latest spam from thewomb, even temporary bans won't put that cat off.  I'm closing this thread until people can learn to read the rules.
