You remember, and Margot Kidder called Superman "a stupid bitch for using the word 'swell' in a late 70s office or dating environment".

Anyway you now have to start using the word "swell" like that in real life and report back here with whatever happens.

I'll never forget Vera Duckworth and that one who got sacked for getting a facelift doing "A Couple Of Swells" in the Rover's Return.  Can't remember the context.  And when I say I will never forget, I have in fact already largely forgotten.

Is this the kind of stuff you were after?

I say "swell" a lot. It's got character. I don't think I actually say it out loud though. Just when typing. That's interesting.

Prolonged immersion in salt water will cause his tongue to swell.

When Superman said it he didn't seem under duress did he??  He was fully into it until Margot Kidder smashed him down and called him a ho.

Sally sells seashells by the seashore.
She sells seashells on the seashell shore.
The seashells she sells are seashore shells,
Of that I'm sure.

She sells seashells by the seashore.
She hopes she will sell all her seashells soon.
If neither he swells seashells
Nor she swells seashells,
Who shall swell seaswells?
Swell seaswells be sold?

Swell swells seaswells by the seashore.
Swell swells seaswells on the seaswell swelly swell.
