Haven't talked cooking for a while.

I'd like to draw your attention to ricotta gnocchi. Ricotta in a bowl, parmesan to make it taste good. Add an egg if you have one, but not necessary. Then throw some flour in until it comes together, roll out on a floured surface into a log. Cut and squeeze into gnocchi shapes and drop onto a floured (or semolina'd) plate. Boil for about 60s until floating. Toss with crisped sage leaves in butter, plus capers, and finish with a sprinkling of parmesan and/or black pepper. Took me all of 10 minutes to sort this out and it's gorgeous.

Also you don't need to dry the ricotta with towels; that's just silly

Only recipe I came up with-ish. Not even a recipe just a way to do potatoes

Angrew's sad potatoes for 1

Ingredients:
A big potato
Kitchen
Kitchen items
Proper food
Rosemary
3 garlic cloves presuming a clove is the part you take out of the bulb part
A shallot
Salt, pepper, all that
Oil

1. Chop the tater up into inch-sized cubes
2. Boil the cubes in water for 7 mins
3. Fry the cubes in oil for 10 mins while turning them and chopping up the garlic and shallots
4. Put the garlic and shallots in the pan along with the rosemary and salt pepper and mix it all up (DON'T 'bung them in' cause that's the kind of thing that renowned tit Jamie Oliver would tell you to do)
5. Keep cooking and turning it for 5 mins and then serve with proper food

dallasman

salmon filet, preferably marinated (lime, soy sauce, chili, ginger, garlic)
rice (brown, whole grain, basmati, jasmin - your choice)
green salad with red peppers, red apples and sweet corn
tzaziki

Yummy summer dining

Melt stick of butter in iron pan.
Dump 1 can of peaches in pan along with the syrup (heavy).
Drink the syrup out of second can of peaches and then dump those peaches in too.
Broadcast a big handfull of flour across the top.
Broadcast a big handfull of sugar on the top.
Poke it around a little bit with a spoon but don't fuck it all up by stirring it.
Bake it for a while at a normal oven temperature.
Get fatter.

If you just pour off the syrup from can #2, I will power neg you.

That strikes me as the kind of thing that would make a perfect meal for crazy nutters if you put serevral beaten eggs in with the flour and sugar

EDIT: Broadcast! Haha fucking hell, I love this recipe.

..Sous-vide a nice pork tenderloin (trimmed), 1-2 hours at 150 F - I usually cut it in half for two large portions
..Pat dry and knock the pork tenderloin halves in a cast-iron skillet over high heat to sear all sides
..Remove meat, glug in a cup of chicken stock, two large tablespoons horseradish, two large tablespoons Dijon, and cayenne
..Stir in four tablespoons heavy cream, and knock in some fresh chives
..Take the sauce off the heat and whisk in two tablespoons cold butter to complete the sauce

This is a Chef John recipe but I double the amount of sauce because the sauce is delicious

- trapped farts
- a sort of weird meaty protein that probably isn't healthy
- undigested seeds and nuts
- a curious grease
