That's weird.  What's the history and logic for such handlebars?

No idea but all us cool kids had them in the 70's and 80's. Added kudos for riding no handed.

Pijlstaart

They were cool. Duh!

I had ape hangers on my standard frame second hand bike. Like on a chopper. I borrowed a chopper once, they were the coolest thing. But the little front wheel made them fucking deadly.

A COOL THING:

BMX
My cousins boyfriend at the time  "nick" who smoked Marlborough reds (in front of parents and everything!) wore punky clothes and generally modelled himself on Sid viscous - he's an estate agent now

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Out there in the world someone's answer to this question is the necro/paedophile children's entertainer and tireless charity campaigner Jimmy Savile

First album I ever bought. Makes me look quite a bit cooler than I've ever managed since.

Literally nothing more exciting than this in 1981:

Still feel the pull.  Downloaded an emulator a few years ago and by Christ we were easily pleased in those days, but pleased we were.

Beagle 2

Probably Nigel Mansell AND HE STILL IS TO THIS VERY DAY
