Entire genres you dislike

I'm put off by anything which has dragons and wizards in it. Mind you, this applies to all media, not just games.

Same. I hate it. Fantasy is just awful, toe-curling nonsense to me. Even the amazing Witcher 3, I cringed at words like "Nilfgaardians" which sounds so made up.

Most fantasy just seems to reinvent Tolkien and frankly without his grasp of language I find lots of it in lots of media lacking. Games especially tend to reuse orcs, wizards,  the archetypes of elves or rangers, blah blah always the same.

Stuff in space, generally, too. But not always. Not sure what "genre" that is. Though I got Elite Dangerous, couldn't tell if I was going forward, asked on a forum tips for starting out and got a whole page of insults back, and never bothered again.
