Well since wosl is refusing point-blank to answer my very politely phrased demand concerning 'What Goes On', I will state that I prefer the Live 1969 version. It was the first Velvets song I ever heard, on Peel in 1979, and even though it goes on for 9 minutes or something, it's a total exhilarating groove right to the end, and as good an example of rhythm guitar playing you will ever hear. I wouldn't believe David Gedge if he said his whole musical approach wasn't based on it.
