Bugger, sounds like they haven't shown much more than was at E3. I suppose that's not a surprise considering E3 was quite recent, but I hoped they might release some of that gameplay footage. Ah well.

The problem with the Witcher 3's level gating was that it was nonsensical - both in the world of the game (why is this shirtless drunk infinitely harder to beat up than a Basilisk?) and mostly in terms in gameplay (it's not like there's anything game-breaking behind this shirtless drunk?!).

I'd rather have sensible 'gating' using difficulty to mean something, than scaling, for the most part.

The skills and augs and unlockable movement abilities look great but damage being tied to level like that? Awful. Makes me wonder why the corp agent didn't just go herself I mean she's a high enough level that her natural damage reduction means she wouldn't even feel any bullets those lowly level 2 uber auged borgs armed with bleeding edge advanced military tech could fire.

I'm not sure which is which honestly. You could say enemy damage and health scales with level but you could also say levelling is used to gate off areas/missions. Eh. Whatever it is I don't like it.

Yes - a bit odd to apply levelling to a human's ability to soak up damage in such a gross way. I can tolerate causing-more-damage in some handwavy way to do with skill, but that's probably just because I've been desensitised to it by other RPGs.
