A separate pad is not conducive to nimble touch typing, nor does it let you swipe enter with the right hand little finger.

Do people really just use the top numbers like neanderthals, for the sake of a small amount of keyboard real estate?

What are you talking about? You can do all of those things with a separate pad, with the added bonus of being able to positioning it exactly where you want.

I never got a chance to use it as we were in a hurry to play football but I did hold it and it felt amazing, you held it like handlebars and it had 2 buttons! One on the top for your thumb and the other for your trigger finger on the front.
