Beautiful.

Ferris, I'm afraid you're going to have to sing, mate.

Nah, mediocre backing tracks and witty puns is all I got. Sorry, lads.

A slightly pissed-up Nick Cave offered me this backing track while out and about on my travels - I note he has stayed in Eb which I appreciate. His vocals didn't record though, which is a pisser.

Perhaps a listener can provide the missing vox?

Well all I can say is be careful what you wish for.

It must have been from when he was going through his Elton John period.

I happen to know midway through that, his hastily scribbled chord sheet fell off the piano and he was ad-libbing for the last bit. Fairly pissed up as well, he was. What a professional.

Seriously though, another tremendous effort. I particularly enjoyed the "piss into our mouths" metaphor for justice.

I may tune the mandolin as I saw Steve Earle around Toronto recently, probably here for TIFF. Might have him lay down some chords for us all. I'm enjoying the challenge of trying to corner non capisco, tbh! Is there no end to their skill?
