If you can't be arsed with the new series, a lot of the old episodes are up on Dailymotion.  Series 1 is very good, interesting to see how different it feels compared to recent series featuring some genuine laughs and actual human beings for contestants rather than the clones of the last few years.

I watched the last series of Young Apprentice last week. Tasked to find a Candelabra, one team ring an electrician and ask if he knows what a Candlebrum is. Pitiful but hilarious and Sugar mocks he kids more than the adults!

This bunch seem like the most irritating, insufferable bunch of wankers that ever been on the show. Fuckin' 'ell. Looks like they went on a trip to the north and walked into a boozer and picked folk at random.

Although none of them come across as unlikable as Matt "Unfunny Tryhard Cunt" Edmondson.

I've had sex with an Apprentice candidate.

That t-shirt genuinely looks like Joseph Merrick.

Have some respect for the dead.

'This week, I want you to sell these sunglasses on the beach...............what?'

You are surely referring to the simpering cunt doing the sub-Amstell impression masquerading as the presenter?

Malcy

I got distracted for a few minutes and don't know what the challenge is. I hope this doesn't mean there won't be a dash around London looking for stuff episode later on.

Malcy

That duck mouthed Sarah is a fucking pain in the arse. Someone tie her up and gag her.

mjwilson

The 'buying things' task is the only episode I enjoy these days.

Alberon

Strange firing choice. Without giving spoilers why go for that one? Others have been far worse in that area in the past and not chucked.

lgpmachine

Spent a large part of the episode trying to work out what Katherine Ryan's Jackie's accent is.  Settled on an American/Irish hybrid in the end.

BBC have got a cheek listing this on the iPlayer under 'factual'

She really deserved firing though. Just needlessly aggressive and with a gargantuan chip on her shoulder.

At last, we get to see it going in.

They find and buy a series of items around Morocco, back to the boardroom, then full penetration, make and sell burgers, penetration, film an advert, full penetration, plan a corporate event, penetration...

QDRPHNC

That Jackie is shaping up to be the series villain already. I've got my eye on her.

I'm astonished at how little effort the producers put into this programme.

Every year it's the same stupid tasks and the same stupid fucking music in every scene.

How hard would it be to come up with a couple of slightly different tasks each year? It's 2018 and contestants can't even use their iPhone to Google what something is - how is this supposed to determine whether they're fit to be a business partner or not?

The format needs totally reworking, I'm astonished they haven't had the guts to make even a slight tweak.

Malcy

I would have thought that the reason they can't google things is to see how resourceful they are rather than just searching online for everything.

lankyguy95

"Who wants to be PM then?" *Several shots of candidates looking uninterested, edited in from various different points*

Ferris

Is this as fucking frustrating as it used to be? I'd love to watch one out of curiosity but not sure if my blood pressure could take it

Utter Shit

There's no point in taking any notice of the firing choices, they aren't based on consistent criteria. One week someone will get kicked out for being an obnoxious arsehole (as happened this week), but the next week the exact same behaviour will see Sugar spare them because "I like people with a bit about them" or "you remind me a bit of myself". Sugar's firing system is about as fair and meaningful as Greg Davies' scoring system on Taskmaster.

"I'm still more hungry than Budapest"

Wow, the first line on the show worse than one of Sugar's attempted witticisms?

I get that but all they have to do is ask a shopkeeper or any other local. It doesn't really prove anything. My main is that they can't be arsed coming up with any new tasks, and they seem to think a task created in 2008 (or whenever) is still relevant in 2018.

But isn't that because the winner of the competition is determined by the business plan that we could not see in last episode? It's the massive flaw in series but I just watch The Apprentice on it's own terms.

Also it's because real business is crushingly boring. My girlfriend has quite quite a high up job in the operations side if health care, she's very smart and capable but most of the time she is staring at a laptop screen with loads of stats on it and/or having conference calls. Wouldn't make riveting TV unless you turn the whole show into a psychometric testing type thing.

Dr Rock

I feel sorry for the octopus.

Malcy

Think this week's will be the cringe-fest of the series with the candidates having to design a new comic.

Malcy

One candidate didn't know who Kim Jong-Un was! They're a special breed of stupid this year. The comics were terrible. Benji? Fuck off.

BritishHobo

Episodes like this just make the show look like the pointless cartoon it is. Comics are a billion dollar industry so fahckin make one in two days you blahddy idiots. Are the comics meant to be like Marvel or like the Beano? There's a world of difference, and both have taken the better part of a century to grow and develop a range and fight off competitors using established writers and artists. What fucking chump would judge anyone's business knowledge off one fucking comic book they've had to cobble together? A TWAT.

And what relevance did the augmented reality stuff have? It's like Sugar just loved the idea and they couldn't talk him out of it.

Consignia

I loved Claude sneering at the boring story that the boy's team. As if he could write any better. Unless it was hot SugarXClaude pornographic fanfiction. He verbally tosses off Al nearly every sentence he speaks.

And focus grouping of creativity, that's going to produce a winner, right?
