Impossible to do Midway without Pat Morita.

Releasing this flagwank at Remembrance Weekend = taking a runny dump on the Cenotaph.

Yanks are suckers for that kind of stuff, they love them their troops (especially when they die: them just getting wounded and getting to come back home and costing money to look after, not so much). So it might work, a bunch of people will go see it out of a sense of obligation. Probably just a small bunch, though.

Ironic it's been directed by a full-on German.

Kinski: The Biopic

I read his autobiography as a teenager. I'd just watched Aguirre & Fitzcarraldo and I loved them but I didn't know anything about the guy's life. obviously that was a particularly disturbing read.

Ditto.  Am I right in remembering that he basically said - more than once - he wanted to fuck Nastassja?

I'm not sure, it was a long time ago. either her or her sister Pola. book publishers were quite careless at that time.

Some much needed good news lads.

Rise Of The footsoldiers 4 is on its way. Craig Farbrass who is near 60 playing Pat Tate he is still rowdy and hates soppy cunts. Its also got some familiar faces who to their credit always seem to find time in their schedule for these films.

Got some fit birds in it as well!!

Yes! Loved the third one. Terry Turbo's wig looks seriously out of hand in this.

The bad reviews made no sense. It was anything but a lazy money grab and if the script was so bad then why did Shaun Ryder accept an role?

Trailer alone for the last 15 seconds justifies its existence.

Not sure it needs to be posted as assume this site would be the target demo of the creators of this.

Bear in mind that that book was intended to have been as obscene as possible, so much of it may've been wildly exaggerated even within the context of Kinski's insane life. He even collaborated with Herzog to make sure it was offensive enough on the bits where he's ranting about ants eating Herzog's balls.

He was giving the public exactly what they expected from a Kinski biog, basically.

Was Pat Tate a real person?

Aye very much so.

Just remembering the first film which was unpleasant, remember this scene?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LppPoHbqWI

Can see his POV, your bird trying to wank you off when your are eating your food and then some mug wrecks your buzz.

Makes you think doesn't it?

There's a film I've seen advertised where Will Smith is having a fight with CGI young Will Smith. That will be shite I reckon.

Is RDJ doing Dr Dolittle Welsh? Hmmm.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDXjf3cMyzM

This has apparently had a very convoluted production. It was supposed to come out in April, but Stephen Gaghan - a perfect choice for a family film after Traffic and Syriana - was apparently being a Josh Trank-level madman, and was shown the door while Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) wrote new scenes and Jonathan Liebesman (the new Turtles films) spent four weeks filming them. It's now due out in January, a traditional dumping ground, and this is the first publicity its had, only three months prior to release, which for a film with a $175m budget looks suicidal. It's a cert to bomb.

Oh ffs...There was a time when I would have watched him in anything, but even I draw the line at that. Can't he just enjoy his Avengers billions and make some smaller, more interesting films again? He's starting to look like he won't get out of bed if the budget's less than $100 million.

Famous Mortimer

The Eddie Murphy version made a fucking fortune, and it's not like he was the megastar of his youth when he made it, so there's an outside chance all those people will go and see this version with their kids? Although probably not.

Came in here to post that, actually. This headline in the Onion had me cackling - I've changed it to a tinyurl to avoid giving away the punchline.

A number of those reshoots/new shoots also took place around the Menai Bridge in Bangor in Wales, so your guess could be right on the money, SteveDave.

Hideous looking Xmas monstrosity romcom "Last Christmas" featuring the music of Wham and George Michael. I blame Mama Mia and the Queen stage one and the Richard Curtis Beatles thing a few months back. I suppose it'll never end as long as there's still bands with widely popular back catalogues to raid, can't wait for the Oasis Easter movie.

It's interesting that Disney are still going ahead and releasing this under their 20th Century Fox banner, considering that it's the most Disney looking movie ever.

I've no idea why Harrison Ford is doing this.  Also, why is the dog CGI?  That seems entirely unnecessary to me.  Laziness, I guess.  Laziness resulting in a creepy uncanny valley pooch of the damned.
