Channel Zero: The Dream Door

Not sure if anyone's still watching this (the last series doesn't seem to have been discussed here), but the first episode of the new series seems to be available online, although not due for broadcast until the end of the month. I expect I'll do what I did last time, see if the first episode grabs me and not bother with the rest if it doesn't (last time, it didn't).

Did the exact same thing with the last series, but saw the first two through.  The second was better than the first but I don't think the concept of the series really works.  It sounds like it should:  take a very short story, barrel through it in the first episode, then just use it as a jumping-off point for the rest of the series.  The problem is that short stories are self-contained and don't need expanding on, if they're at all effective.
