I can't see a thread about this, sorry if there is one. He's always seemed like a good bloke to me and I hope he'll be okay.

Now – here's a thing – I'm sad to say that I've got some cancerous tongue and lymph node issues and so, as I'm sure you'll understand, I'm going to be disappearing for a while. It's all been caught very early and so everything should be fine.

As others have said, he always comes across as an affable, down to earth, kind of chap.  The Graveyard Shift was a massive part of my musically formative years, not to mention being far funnier than most of the "proper" comedy on the radio back then (and now, come to think of it).  Always been well worth a listen since...
